Pratt's Hotel near Bath: Bath Hotels

Good Points: The two young men at the Reception that day were absoloutely wonderful, kind and could not have been more helpful - thank you.
Bad Points: Nothing major.
Further Comments: Though some parts of the Hotel is need of updating, I think the helpfulness of the staff and the facilities on offer e.g. the generous breakfast etc. more than make up for any shortfall. I think the Hotel is very good value comparing with some other accommodations we have stayed at before in the area.

Good Points: Location in relation to town centre, public transportation.
Bad Points: Though hotel was clean interior has seen better days. Updating interior could easily make this 3 star hotel a 4-5 star hotel.

Good Points: The quaint old style of the building, walking distance to town centre
Bad Points: squeaky floors so you can hear people walking above you sometimes

Good Points: Modern fixtures nice bathroom, good breakfast, Excellent location and quiet.
Bad Points: Since it is in a very old bldg, the floor sloped quite a bit, making the bed slope as well. Husband didn't sleep well. The hot water was scalding and of our three couples none of us was able to find a good balance of cold/hot water for a shower.
Further Comments: Great location, quiet. Sloping floor and bed, so we didn't sleep well. Hot water was scalding and couldn't even out temperature in shower. Overall, a nice hotel though and enjoyed the stay despite the two big negatives.

Good Points: I thought the decor of the hotel room was very much in the keeping for the period of the hotel. For a single room I was pleasently surprised at the size of it. Staff were very helpful.

Bad Points: the hot water in the shower was boiling and it almost scalded me. the fact that my room was conveniently located 50 feet from a noisy all night discoteque made sleeping a real problem.
Further Comments: the experience was unatisfactory based on the price plus the negatives all in all.

Good Points: It was clean, comfortable with everything I could possibly want available for my use. The staff were lovely, the breakfast was very nice and the location of the hotel was perfect for train travel.
Further Comments: This hotel ticked all the boxes for me in respect of the accommodation I required in Bath. A totally delightful experience and the price was very competetive.

Bad Points: The room was dirty, the view was non-existent, every time the fire door closed the whole room shook, the bathroom belonged in a different century, the shower had mould growing up the wall and the shower head was broken. The room furniture was scruffy. There was no hot water one morning.

Further Comments: We have stayed in this hotel many times and always have a delightful stay - its good value for money (for Bath!) It is ready for a makeover - especially the bedrooms. We take our dogs and although there is a nominal charge dog food, bowls etc are provided.
