Dorian House near Bath: Bath Hotels

Good Points: It was very clean, quiet and comfortable.
Bad Points: On arrival we were not told anything about Bath and its attractions. We were only shown the dining room and not the lounge. On leaving the hotel we were not asked anything about our stay or even where we might be off to next.
Further Comments: I have stayed in a five star hotel identical to this one in Bath and the difference between the two was parramount. The building was lovely, room nice etc but the staff lacked friendliness and customer care.

Good Points: Nice view of the garden - everything spotlessly clean
Bad Points: Not a lot, though the bed was hard.
Further Comments: We did read the reviews on this hotel before booking and we agree with most that the biggest drawback for older people is the distance from the centre of the town and the uphill slog !! However, le patron provided us with the necessary taxi numbers and this worked very well. We found the owner to be most helpful and had a good sense of humour. Overall, apart from the hard bed, we found our stay at the Dorian very pleasant.

Good Points: The acommodation was very clean and beautifully decorated.
Further Comments: We enjoyed our stay very much. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly, as were all the staff. Breakfasts were scrumptious, with lovely views from the breakfast room. There was also plenty of parking space. We had a very enjoyable, relaxed stay at the Dorian and would certainly go back.

Good Points: Very nice Hotel. Excellent breakfast.
Bad Points: The ceiling near the windows sloped, which was inconvenient - I had to stoop when going to that part of the room.
Further Comments: The hotel is up a hill which would be a problem for some older people. The Hotel is very nice, although I only really experienced my room and the breakfast room. My room was quite small, and the ceiling on the window side sloped quite steeply, meaning that I had to stoop when in that part of the room. This is what solo travellers get used to putting up with. Otherwise the room was excellent, and very quiet. Breakfast was very tasty and served efficiently. For the money, and the location, this was very good value.

Further Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our one night's stay at the hotel and on returning to Bath in the future, we wouldn't hesitate to re-visit this hotel. Our only criticism being that we felt that the tariff for bed and breakfast was slightly over-priced but not to the extent that it will put us off returning.

Bad Points: pas d'ascenceur
Further Comments: Trￃﾨs bon ￃﾩtablissement, oￃﾹ l'on prend soin des clients; dￃﾩcor soignￃﾩ, et quasi neuf; agrￃﾩablement situￃﾩ par rapport eu centre ville (10 minutes ￃﾠ pied et dans un endroit calme); grand choix au petit-dￃﾩjeuner et produits frais.

Further Comments: This accommodation was very pleasant in a very busy city. The Dorian Hotel was very atmosheric of someone who is very gifted musically. The Hotel was very relaxed and the food very presentable.
