Good Points: The room was very spacious and the quality of the furniture good. The aspect of the room was great. Given that dogs are allowed in the rooms, there was no evidence that any had stayed previously - the room was very clean.
Bad Points: The wallpaper and curtains were a little too flowery for my tastes! The windows could have done with net curtains to afford some privacy when getting dressed. Disappointed that there was no safe in the room - on a longer stay this might be an inconvenience.

Good Points: A great setting with stunning views. Good sized room and pleasant restaurant
Bad Points: No obvious dislikes, but the restaurant menu could have been more imaginative and/or extensive, particularly if you are looking for a slightly longer break.
Further Comments: An enjoyable break in a comfortable and good quality hotel. Helpful staff and a pleasant restaurant, which could perhaps do with having a more imaginative menu. The hotel's real selling point is its great location and outlook.

Good Points: Very clean, comfortable with excellent decor and facilities.
Bad Points: The noisy fan in the bathroom.
Further Comments: When we arrived the receptionist could have been more forthcoming with information about our room. We were parked by the reception area in the main building and our room was in new rooms adjoining the main Manor house. The room was quite a walk with our luggage. If the receptionist could have explained where the room was and that there was parking by our room, giving us directions, it would really have been helpful!! As it was we had to find out the hard way! Otherwise everything else was very good.

Further Comments: The main issue with the hotel is that it appears not to have sufficient resources which lets down the level of service. Examples include having to wait at the bar to be served, tables not been cleared away promptly at breakfast resulting in people waiting to be seated and our room not been cleaned and made up until after 7.30 in the evening (when we had to request that this happened). This is a shame, as the hotel is attractive, in a good location and is fair value for money. Please note, no booking confirmation came through from your website partner.

Bad Points: The bathroom fan in the room next to ours kept us awake.It sounded like it was in our bedroom.
Further Comments: Beautiful hotel but let down by the evening meal which should have been much better.

Bad Points: Only one wash basin. Shower difficult to adjust. Heated towel rail on in very hot weather.

Good Points: We had a lovely view of the surrounding area.
Further Comments: We were really pleased with this hotel and had a very enjoyable weekend. The grounds are lovely and staff were all very pleasant. As we were using a cot in our room the standard double room was a bit too small and a baby listening service would be a nice optional extra.
