Good Points: very quiet got a good nights sleep
Bad Points: could not turn radiator down in room.
Further Comments: this was a very quiet hotel there was no traffic noise or even noise from other guests so got a good nights sleep. restaurant is very nice food of a good quality, breakfast is to be complimented. the only drawback was that could not turn down radiator in room so was very warm at night. was forced to sleep with window open and as was on ground floor this was not ideal. however this was only a minor worry as the window had a security lock which wouldn't allow it to open wide enough for anyone to break in.

Good Points: My request for a quiet non smoking room was honoured.It seemed very clean.
Bad Points: The room was cold, especially at night.
Further Comments: This is a very nice hotel, the room was quiet and clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My only negative feedback would be that the restaurant was very expensive. All in all though, it was a very pleasent stay and I would use this hotel again.

Good Points: A very comfortable stay, nice room, good food, and courteous staff. We would definitely recommend the hotel, and would use it again if we are in that neck of the woods.
Bad Points: Unfortunately, room 219 has a noisy central heating system, which bongs like a gong around 11pm and again at about 6 am, which is obviously when the heating switches off and then on again. Management have been informed,and will attempt to solve the problem.
Further Comments: Apart from the heating problem causing an unnecessary early morning call, the whole experience at the Hotel was very pleasurable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and it was a very friendly experience. The food in the Restaurant was very good, and if you did not want to be bothered with the formality of a sit down meal, the Bar and Bar Food was a very good alternative. Nothing lacking with this Hotel.

Bad Points: In need of update, furnishings and decor were a bit tired.
Further Comments: Good location near to motorway. We arrived in the afternoon and after being served at the bar we had to go in search of a member of staff to order some food and another drink. The main restaurant menu was limited and over priced. The pub across the road offered food at more realistic prices and with a greater choice.

Further Comments: Reception service was appalling. There was one receptionist on duty at the busiest time of the morning, for business guests checking out. i.e. between 8am and 9am 19/07/06. One receptionist could not cope with the volume and we stood in a queue for 25 minutes and were subsequently late leaving the hotel for a meeting. The duty manager was not around to assist until 5 minutes before we left? Comments were made regarding the resource and level of servcie at the front desk. His only reponse was about speaking to his recption manager. No apology for waiting time? Shame to be let down by such poor service when the hotel facilities service in the restaurant were good.

Bad Points: Small dark and poky room trees right against window eliminating the natural light. Fire alarm went off in middle of night -no apologies or explanations the following day
