Further Comments: was a pleasant stay but room could have been better ie furniture with no cig burns, and hot water when needed.heating to be at guest discression rather than on a timer for an hour on an evening.

Good Points: Location to Stafford. Pleasant dining room.
Bad Points: Poor standard of bathroom - leaking tap, noisy extractor fan.
Further Comments: Impression given online was of a country hotel, this was not the case. Dinner menu could be improved by being more varied. Hotel seemed to cater for business travellers above all else.

Good Points: The room was tastefully decorated and the beds were comfortable
Bad Points: The carpet was stained and the lift was very bumpy
Further Comments: The most outstanding feature of the hotel, in my estimation, was the very helpful and pleasant staff. They were always willing to answer questions and to telephone for a taxi. We felt that the carpets in general needed cleaning and we were a bit uneasy about the lift which seemed rickety

Good Points: Rooms comfortable and well situated room 107 ground floor quiet nonsmoking. Clean breakfast excellent plenty of food on buffet staff very nice indeed in restaurant
Bad Points: Leisure facilities stated spa but this was closed - pool attendant very surly and unhelpful when we could not exit the pool facility as we were not sure how to use room card for exit purposes. Female changing room floor dirty and very wet and slipperey.
Further Comments: Person on reception was certainly not friendly in any way. He was quite curt when I asked re a taxi. Last year we stayed and receptionist even phoned one for us. He stated the number to ring and left us to it. On leaving the hotel he never even asked if the room was ok or did we enjoy our stay. Sad really as the hotel and room were very good. We had trouble finding the leisure area and entering via room key again pool attendant unhelpful. rESTAURANT staff very nice indeed and the breakfast was lovely and plentiful.

Good Points: The dining room staff were very friendly and helpful.
Bad Points: Had to queue for breakfast on the Sunday Morning.
Further Comments: The hotel had everything you need for a weekend break. We did not use the leisure facilities. It's a 20 minute walk into town. Do NOT park your car under the trees. The crows don't mind doing their business on your car - and it's like superglue to clean off!!

Good Points: Good sized twin room. Comfortable beds. Enjoyed the leisure facilities of pool,jacuzzi and sauna. Very friendly staff.
Bad Points: The bathroom needs a expelair as without a window it got very steamy.
Further Comments: The web site was very informative. It described the accomodation well. This hotel is also very easily accessed from the nearby M6 motorway and is in a good location,near the town,yet fairly quiet.
