Good Points: nice sized room, comfortable bed, lovely view, warm and clean
Bad Points: The tiles in the bathroom were abysmal they were falling off the wall and some had been replaced by different coloured tiles - the state of the carpets and walls was pretty bad pictures missing off the walls and old wallpaper and carpets - stained and old chips out of lamps etc. The whole hotel really needs redecorating very urgently.
Further Comments: Lovely staff - food good - experience overall very good nice sized rooms but the state of the decor was really really poor and let the place down - its not just old fashioned and tired but bordering on dirty - but not in an uncleaned way - just so old everything is falling to bits and falling apart!!!! If the bedrooms had new carpets and wallpaper and definitely new tiles in the bathrooms it would be a great place!!! Come on Park Inn do your bit or you will definitely lose custom! Not sure if I would stay here again - if it was just because I needed a bed for the night I probably would but I wouldn't stay here if was for a weekend break or holiday.

Bad Points: no air conditioning in room. extremely hot, especially this time of year. there was a fan in the room but the nearest plug socket was the opposite end of the room to the bed so didnt really have any effect.

Good Points: staff in the restaurant were very pleasant and helpful - dinner and breakfast was very nice
Bad Points: room was very hot with no air conditioniing and windows that only opened about 4 inches.
Further Comments: staf were rushed a little when we arrived as there was a prom going on and therefore felt like we were rushed a bit to our rooms with no offer of assistance with luggage

Bad Points: rooms could do with a refurb bathroom needs a big overhaul very old and gruby looking.drinks at bar way over the top had one drink then went else where u most lose custome at them prices.

Good Points: The room was spacious
Bad Points: The curtains were ripped and thread bare the mattress and pillows were stained the toilet was also stained.
Further Comments: The staff throughout our stay were wonderful, very helpful I would have liked to have had a choice of room.

Bad Points: The route from the car park to the reception was a little on the long side
Further Comments: A very pleasent stay in a hotel with superb rooms and views. The staff were very helpful in my time here.

Further Comments: This is the second time in about three months we have stayed at this hotel and again the room appeared to be prepared for occupancy by one person i.e. one bathrobe in the wardrobe, incidentally it had no belt, one glass for the small bottle of water. The resturant staff were very good as was thefood.

Further Comments: This was a very short stay and not all the hotel facilities were used. The general atmosphere was good and the staff wewre prepared to assist when asked. The request for an extra pillow and bathrobe to be supplied was chieved efficiently but was spoiled by the fact that the pillow was supplied with no cover. There was only one glass and one bottle of water on the table when we arrived and the general impression was that the room had been prepared for a single occupant rather that the couple it had been booked for. The television had a very limited number of channels which would have been irksome if staying longer although inconvenient it was not worth trying to get it rectified. There was an unfortunate smaell in the bathroom when we arrived which may have been due to the door being kept shut for a long period and no air circulating. Overall though a pleasant experience.

Good Points: Excellent room, good service
Bad Points: Bar drinks were a bit pricey. I would have preferred a breakfast buffett on the Saturday but understand that that is difficult with small numbers of guests.
Further Comments: I nearly did not stay at this hotel because of some pretty negative reviews on your website. They are completely unfounded. The hotel is exactly what I would expect from such an establishment. Good service, excellent room with a marvellous view. Good food, with local dishes from the 'chalk board' well presented, well served at a sensible price. Despite there being two Christmas parties on the Friday night and one on the Saturday I was not inconvenienced in any way. Indeed the staff went out of their way to look after me. A thoroughly enjoyable stay which I hope to repeat. Even better when I discovered that there was a discount on food with a Bedford Blues rugby ticket.

Good Points: The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. It was direectly opposite the lift which was convenient as I am disabled. Most of all I was able to bring my dog with me for which I thank you very much.
Bad Points: Being elderly I found the shower difficult to control the taps etc were hard to turn for me.
Further Comments: The staff were very pleasant and friendly and on the whole the accommodation and hotel excellent although there is a need for some refurbishment perhaps. I found the range of food in the restaurant a little limited (dinner) and would have preferred a meat and two veg or pie and veg i.e. something hot. However the salmon I had was excellent well cooked and well presented. I hate having to get my own breakfast and think it uncivilised but accept that this is current fashion in most hotels. I enjoyed my stay again, am grateful I could bring my dog and certainly intend to stay at The Park Inn when I visit my family again.
