| Further Comments: I booked a single room and that was exactly what I got as the room was very small. However I was impressed that there was a fridge in the room!!
Breakfast was good though i would have been nice if I had been told that tea/coffee was self service.. |

| Good Points: Staff were very helpful, they upgraded one room to a lovely large one which was very nice. |
| Bad Points: The other twin was a little small but still nice. Breakfast was ok. |
| Further Comments: Perhaps some more information about the surrounding area and sites. We had come to see Hadrian's wall and no one at the hotel really knew anything about it! Overall we had a very good stay however and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We would go back. |

| Good Points: It was massive! The en suite was immaculate and the staff were incredibly friendly and courteous. |
| Bad Points: No fire exit diagrams displayed in the room. |
| Further Comments: The nearest place to have a decent meal was at the Swallow Hotel which is just round the corner which the night staff did not seem to be aware of. It may be worth pointing this out to future guests. We had a very pleasant and relaxed meal there. It may be worth referring to this on the website as a possibility for an evening meal.
It would also be useful to know how close you are to the centre of town - as a stranger to the area I was not aware of this but would have liked to know. |

| Good Points: Facilities were adequate for our stay for our religious convention in the Metro Arena. Breakfast was very substantial and enjoyable. |
| Bad Points: The hotel rooms could perhaps do with a bit of an update as to decor. |
| Further Comments: The hotel has a real homely feeling to it and the staff and owners were friendly, very obliging, and helpful. We would return, if the occasion arises, in the future, and recomend it to others who are looking for a hotel with the basics. |

| Good Points: cosiness, good breadfast, possibility to use fitnessroom, bath and steamroom of neighbouring hotel, nice staff |
| Bad Points: room wasn't in top order: missing cupboard-door, towel-ring loose etc. |
| Further Comments: The rooms were very cheap so I didn't expect much. My room (without bathroom) was smelly with the window closed but noisy with window open. The bed wasn't excellent, but okay for one night. Nice is that each room has a watercooker and a small fridge.
I took the English breakfast which was good; they also have toast and muesli. |
