Good Points: The Hotel was lovely and clean and very well maintained. The Hotel was right in the Town with free parking.
Further Comments: I would definatley stay at this Hotel again, very friendly staff and very high standards. Good food also. Ideal location for City centre and free parking on site a big bonus. Freindly welcome on arrival.

Good Points: Location and overaul hotel layout very pleasing.
Bad Points: Thin walls, snoring and noise from adjacent rooms.
Further Comments: Knowing about booked discos would have been nice, two nights out of four is two nights too many. Courtyard design very nice but is the only smoking area and can be very noisey especially after midnight. Food below par except breakfast. Staff very polite and courteous.

Good Points: Spacious room well furnished.
Bad Points: Poor acoustic isolation-other guests use of plumbing and tv were intrusive. The room was too hot due to the thermostatic valve on the radiator not functioning. This meant that it was necessary to sleep with the windows open which was very noisy due to the hotel being on a major road junction. The fault was reported to reception on the form provided but no action resulted.
Further Comments: The general facilities are excellent but the room was noisy and too hot. The very small very cheap bedside radio alarm clock would have woken us up if not already awake due to traffic noise, but the audio quality from its tiny speaker and poor reception due to its inadequate antenna made it useless for listening to music.

Good Points: Spacious, comfortable (indeed, luxurious!) and well equipped
Bad Points: The bed was a little on the short side (I am 180cm tall)
Further Comments: This is a beautiful hotel ideally situated for shops, restaurants and tourist sights in York. The accomodation is absolutely excellent and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Good Points: very clean room and facilities in room good
Bad Points: very noisy plumbing or central heating which woke me at 3am!Lounge very pleasant but bar not so nice.
Further Comments: location good, bar not so niceand seemed out of keeping with hotel .My only complaint was the noise in the early hours of the morning.

Good Points: Comfortable rooms close to city centre ie. walking distance
Further Comments: Check in was quick, location good with ample car parking. Room was comfortable and large although shower wasnt great. Breakfast was good with a wide varity of choice.

Good Points: very close to the Old City with adequate car parking facilities. excellent breakfast.
Bad Points: close to the ring road and a nearbye emergency vehicle station. we were constantly awoken by sirens at all hours of the night.
Further Comments: A pleasant enough chain hotel, very well situated for walking tours around the Old City. The staff were pleasant and helpful and there is a big and secure car park. It gets traffic noise from the ring-road and sirens from emergency vehicles passing at all hours. Excellent buffet breakfast.

Further Comments: in ideal situation for centre of york, did not have to use car, was parked in hotel car park for entire stay.

Further Comments: Breakfast on Monday was poor. Food was left to congeal and not replaced regularly enough. There was confusion about my rate on checkout. Embarrassing but dealt with quickly and efficiently when pointed out.

Good Points: Fabulous views, comfortable & clean room, pleasant decor, near to places of interest.
Bad Points: Was fine for us. Elderly people would probably not like the amount of stairs to get to the room.
Further Comments: We had an enjoyable stay at this city central, clean comfortable, friendly hotel. We enjoyed delicious full breakfasts. The views from our room were spectacular. The staff were friendly and helpful and ordered a taxi for us to our friends wedding venue. We would recommend this hotel to friends and family.A perfect spot from which to explore the historic city of York.

Further Comments: 2 problems: NOISE Noise - inside - on second night I had to call reception at 0230 hrs to get them to stop occupants of room above from making noise by talking, laughing and walking about - noise travels very easily from room to room Noise - outside - based on ambulances and police cars screaming past the hotel 24/7 with sirens blaring
