Good Points: LOcation excellent free private car park staff very friendly, professional, and helpful brilliant food in nice restaurant
Bad Points: room a little on noisy side small bath room but neither would stop me returning to this hotel
Further Comments: THis hotel was a great find. Would have no hesitation in returning.

Good Points: The accommodation was spacious, clean, very comfortable and attractive. The bathroom/toilet/shower room was huge and well equipped.
Further Comments: We have not stayed in this hotel before and were very pleasantly surprised by the friendly welcome and general politeness of the staff, the high level of comfort and the relaxed atmosphere. The bedroom was very spacious and well furnished and the bed was very comfortable. The car parking is a bonus, given that the hotel is in the centre of town. Having booked via the internet, we were able to look at the hotel and get appropriate information before we arrived. I felt the we had enough information about the hotel before we decided to book and were able to phone through to check on any issues we needed verifying.

Good Points: liked the way hotel rooms in small blocks. also enjoyed having a seperate lounge area.
Further Comments: The room was spacious with a seperate lounge area and had an option of sleeping arrangements.The hotel was 5-10 minutes walk from town and situated in a quiet area of the town. The staff were very helpful and are happy to arrange things to help you organise your stay.

Bad Points: No biscuits on courtesy tray.No real ale available in bar
Further Comments: Very pleasant . Good location for York sightseeing. Nothing I had known beforehand would have affected my choice .

Good Points: Good sized, reasonably equipped room + enormous bathroom Hotel very well situated.
Bad Points: The area outside the room stank of stale cigarette smoke, and the room smelt as well of this (reception offered to move us, but we couldn't stand the hassle of repacking. The fllors both over us and under us creaked badly
Further Comments: Most of our expectations were met by the hotel. Car parking could be a problem.

Good Points: Clean & comfortable. Excellent location for seeing York without driving. Wedding Anniversary card and chocolates left in the room for us on arriaval was a nice touch.
Bad Points: room was too hot during the night.
Further Comments: Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Was able to check in on arrival although we were earlier than the 2.00 p.m check-in time. Good choice at breakfast.

Bad Points: all rooms were non smoking not very fair to those who smoke
Further Comments: not enough effort made for the guest who do smoke having to go outside wasn't nice espicaly when it was cold raning and windy.

Bad Points: The shower was poor it kept going very hot to cold,the bed has seen better days matress is in very poor condition.
