Good Points: Tea making facilities were adequate. Central location.
Bad Points: No parking, No windows to look out through. No lounge. Quite expensive.
Further Comments: We were given an attic room with skylights, hot water was not available in the sink in the evening. No tv picture until I repaired the aerial cable. No bedside table. Poor lighting in ensuite area. Food was acceptable, staff were friendly. I would use the hotel again but would hope for a slightly better room for the price paid.

Good Points: Central location, on site bar/restaurant facilities, atmosphere & ambiance, friendly staff.
Bad Points: Only downside was lack of onsite parking. Longterm parking involved repeated (short) trips to car park to refresh pay and display ticket in public car park.
Further Comments: Cozy comfortable hotel with excellent onsite restaurant and bar facilities, and friendly staff. Rooms were large, clean and nicely decorated, although carpets and bathroom fittings were a little 'tired'. Very central location, but no dedicated parking for guests. You need to use one of several small town-centre pay and displays all within easy walking distance, and refresh ticket on a daily basis.

Good Points: Bathroom was carpeted and tiles and grouting was stained
Bad Points: No parking on site.
Further Comments: The hotel was difficult to find and there was only a small entry on the hotels website mentioning the lack of parking. Breakfast service was slow, and as other residents were on business as well, it led to a hurried breakfast.

Good Points: Great accommodation and friendly staff.
Bad Points: The lack of parking facilities at the hotel caused a few problems, however, local car parking was easy and cheap to use
Further Comments: Great accommodation, the rooms were clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast and evening meals were very good. I would definitely stay here again.

Good Points: The traditional decoration and homely feel.
Bad Points: Unfortunately the smell of smoke.
| Further Comments: It would be very useful to know in advance that although each room available is not designated as a 'smoking' room, smoking is not discouraged so in effect there are no 'non-smoking' rooms available. The staff were extremely prompt and helpful to try and freshen the room up and this was much appreciated but it still tainted the stay especially when we were viewing the night away as a treat. Car parking was in a nearby supermarket car park so a short walk from the hotel itself.
We enjoyed the full breakfast and both the evening bar staff and the breakfast staff were very welcoming and efficient. |

Good Points: Centre of Brecon. Large room. Well heated. Good en-suite facilities. Appreciated the hotel was privately owned.
Bad Points: No car parking - very difficult for overnight stays as municipal car parks for maximum of two-hour stay - 0800hrs start! Understood that parking was a problem for all the hotels in Brecon.
| Further Comments: We understood that this hotel had been recently purchased. We would expect the standard to improve as the owner continued with the refurbishment.
I would not currently recommend this hotel. |

Good Points: Good location within the town, well placed for visiting area
Bad Points: Poor performance by check in staff, had to go and find someone to check in, who then seemed to be put out just to help us check in, beds not very comfortable and the room we had at the front of the hotel was very noisy due to the local nightlife until 0230.
Further Comments: The staff, in particular the manager, could do with some customer service training! I think the hotel itself is a nice venue but very noisy if you have a street facing room. I was unable to get to sleep until almost 0300 due to the constant druken traffic passing below - double glazing required!!!!

Good Points: The accommodation had loads of fantastic charactor
Further Comments: Some of the comments that are on the website are a bit unkind. Our stay was fab. The staff were friendly, the food was good and the room was very comfortable. The charactor of the whole place is crying out for a return visit.

Good Points: central location, good food
Bad Points: unfriendly, unprofessional welcome, parking
Further Comments: The assistant on the front desk at check in was rather unfriendly, as had been previously warned by other guest reviews and the lack of suitable parking, the thought of recieving a parking ticket over night did not aid a restful nights sleep. The room would have also benefited from double glazing as it was rather noisy. All food taken in the hotel was excellent.
