Good Points: The bed was very comfortable
Bad Points: Bath was too small
Further Comments: Having stayed at this location on a number of coassionsit was pleasing to note the improvements to the reception area had created a warm and welcoming feeling. The beds which I had previously complained about had been replaced by a most comfortable alternative. The bathroom could be improved with some minor maintenance to the panelling around fitments. The bath was unfortunately to small.

Good Points: Clean, fresh, bright. Particularly happy that pets are welcome!
Bad Points: It was a very stormy night and there was a lot of noise created by the wind - it whistled through the window frames and kept us awake!

Good Points: well aired on arrival
Bad Points: just explain to guests you need to take those card keys straight out of the slot in order to release the door lock - the diagram on the card is not clear enough
Further Comments: for a convenient overnight stay en route it was fine

Good Points: The hotel was clean and the reception staff were most welcoming.
Bad Points: The choice of food at 9.30pm in the next door Food Connection was very poor verging on dire, it was stale, and had been kept too long.
Further Comments: I would be very happy to return to the hotel but certainly not to eat . An enjoyable stay.

Good Points: Good position near to the motorway, but very informal and relaxing.
Bad Points: Perhaps a little more of the hot drinks in the room.
Further Comments: As a stopover en-route somewhere, very hard to beat. Very clean, the staff are helpful and courteous and I enjoyed an excellent nights sleep. At this price, hard to beat.

Good Points: POLITENESS OF STAFF AND CLEANLINESS OF ROOM
Bad Points: NEEDED A PUB/RESTAURANT NEARBY. THERE WAS A SERVICE STATION, BUT A PUB/RESTAURANT WOULD BE MUCH BETTER.

Bad Points: Carpets could be cleaner. TV could be better reception. Individial shampoos etc instead of dispenser
Further Comments: Hotel was fine. Locals used the car park as a joy riding area in middle of night - not good. This questioned car park security of hotel.

Good Points: It was clean and convenient.
Bad Points: Friendlier staff.
| Further Comments: For the cost (Sunday Saver) this was a good deal. It was convenient and had all the basics. The location - at a Welcome Stop - is not the most ideal, but the hotel served its purpose.
We had a lot of baggage and carrying it upstairs (there's no elevator) was a bit inconvenient, but understandable. Not so with the fact that the hotel didn't have a trolley that we could use to bring the bags from the car, especially since the parking area is a bit of a walk from the entrance. |
