| Good Points: The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful, curteous, and friendly. They made you feel very welcome. |
| Bad Points: Aside from the ongoing construction which was entirely too noisy and caused severe allergies resulting in complete bedrest for a day or so, the restaurant prices were much too high and the rooms much too small for the value. There should also be some sort of a card key-in process to enter the building after hours as opposed to having to wait for an attendant to let you in which is somewhat inconvenient. |
| Further Comments: My general stay was indeed pleasant although I would have liked to know the room sizes and a picture of the room would have helped. On arrival, my reservation had been mysteriously canceled possibly due to a problem with the online booking system.
Since the online website information doesn't correlate with the info at the hotel desk at check-in, other descrepancies were encountered including the bed & breakfast option offering.
The construction was unbearable, noisy, and dusty. You couldn't sleep in and you couldn't open your windows in the morning due to being innodated with dust stemming from the outside construction. There really should have been some sort of perk set aside for customers just having to endure the construction inconvenience.
Lastly, your room key should operate the exit gate rather than having to obtain an access code daily. Otherwise, the gate key code should be changed less frequently in addition to possibly substituting it with the addition of an intercom system for people visiting and or entering for the purpose of room availability inquiries. |

| Good Points: Nice size rooms, lovely mature gardens and close to some excellent local pubs. |
| Bad Points: Sports facilities, gym, pool etc |
| Further Comments: Allthough there is much building work currently under way, I was very happy with my stay. When the building work is completed, the hotel can only improve with the added facilities. There are also some lovely local pubs within easy walking distance that are well worth a visit and lovely mature gardens to walk off the excellent food available. |

| Good Points: We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel. Whilst it was obvious the hotel catered mainly for business and weddings the reception staff were friendly and the feeling was more of a small hotel. |
| Bad Points: There is a lot of work goung on refurbishing the building which had a slight effect on the way the hotel was run. There were many staff on duty, but many did not appear fully aware of their roles. |
| Further Comments: The reception staff were frindly and the reception area suggests a small family hotel rather than an impersonal business hotel. The room was clean, well decorated and contained all we needed. Breakfast is charged seperate from the room rate and in my view should be quoted as an overall price. There were many staff on duty at any one time, but this did not necessarily improve service in the restaurant. We ate in the restaurant on both nights of our stay and the food was very good, particularly for a hotel catering essentially for business customers. |

| Bad Points: Building work started at 7.30. Very Noisy.
Room was just refurbed and nothing worked. Taps, Lamps, Safe, window blind. etc. |
| Further Comments: I would have liked to know the building work was going on and that I was going to be woken by builders at 7.30!!!! |

| Good Points: excellent dinner and friendly staff |
| Bad Points: some of my colleagues rooms were very small |
| Further Comments: The hotel is very attractive and check-in was particularly efficient. Rooms vary considerably in size, mine was adequate but my work colleagues found themselves in tiny rooms, one describing it as the most uncomfortable he had stayed in. It seems to depend which floor you are on, I was on the first floor and the rooms appear a reasonable size there. There is some renovation going on which might address this. Dinner was excellent and the buffet breakfast was better than average. If you get a good room this hotel is good value for money. |

| Good Points: Beautiful hotel setting, long drive, gardens etc. Most of all very friendly staff. Nice room. |
| Bad Points: It was a smoker but that was my fault in the booking. The staff immediately helped us move into a non-smoker better room and asked us to join them for a drink in the bar for the inconvenience. Excellent people. |
| Further Comments: Very friendly hotel
Great rural views
Value for money
Comfy rooms
Very good restaurant
Staff always ready to help
We will book again for a longer stay in the summer
Englefield Green and Egham are interesting and historical areas |

| Good Points: Nice building. The staff were very efficient and friendly, the meals I had were good. |
| Bad Points: Difficult to find. Rooms need refurbishment, sinks and bath chipped. |
| Further Comments: A good hotel in a very nice setting, spoiled, from my point of view from the rather dissapointing state of the bathrooms. Although the hotel appeared clean it could do with some refurbisment and certainly some degree of airconditioning. I would stay there again. |
