Good Points: The room was very clean and tidy, the view along the river was brilliant
Further Comments: The Hotel was very easy to find, although including directions in the confirmation email would have helped. The staff were very friendly, check in and out were very easy. The hotel room was clean and bright, tea/coffee making kit was available. There was a TV with the option to pay to view recent released films. Access to York city centre was a couple of hundred yards away, just over the bridge. Altogether a very pleasant stay

Bad Points: The rooms are tardy and in need of decoration.
Further Comments: Friendly and helpful staff are let down by tired rooms that look like they've not been decorated for a decade. Either decorate, or drop prices cos it's not worth ￂﾣ100 per night

Good Points: Good location for visiting the city and also close to the rail station. Good breakfasts.
Bad Points: We were on the rear side of the hotel and there was noise from service vehicles in the morning.
Further Comments: We felt the price for rooms was slightly high for the situation of the rear side of hotel.

Good Points: the views were incredible, overall the room was excellent comfortable all we needed was there.
Further Comments: From the beginning of the booking to arrival and the stay only one word EXCELLENT. Thank you for a wonderful stay We will be back.

Good Points: very good value for money - friendly staff - great location.

Further Comments: If you want spend time in York - you can't get a hotel with better location than this. Very friendly staff, and very good value all round.

Good Points: location and view
Bad Points: the spa was closed on sunday and monday.....it closed at 6 on saturday.....we brought our suits to steam and sauna....that was a dissapointment.....the room was run down, majorly dented furniture, drawers that don't close, stains on the chairs....strings coming up from the carpet......the hallways, door jams, molding etc. were extremely dented and in need of a coat of paint....even the lobby elevator was past it's prime

Further Comments: Staff were extremely helpful and polite. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice and good quality food to cater for many tastes. Good to have a car park so close.

Good Points: location of the hotel is very central - nice views from the cafe bar
Bad Points: very very noisy - it sounded like the cars and people talking outside were in the room - I got hardly any sleep and I am not a light sleeper. The hotel really needs double glazing.
Further Comments: I would of liked to have known about the noise levels. Im sorry to say I wouldnt stay at the hotel again unless double glazing was sorted out. I spoke to other people in the breakfast room and got the same comments from others regardless as to whether they stayed river side or street side. I would advise that one of the hotel management stay in one of the rooms on a friday night to test/see how noisy it is and to consider addressing this issue. Whilst costly it would save lost custom in the future. It was difficult to mark the performance of staff above as it wasnt bad and people were friendly but most other hotels Ive stayed in, the service was simply more efficient and more enthusiastic.

Bad Points: Slightly dated bedrooms that need modernising, although some cosmetic touches were noted
Further Comments: Have stayed in York many times over the years, and this hotel is the best for me. Car parking in York is notoriously bad, so a charge of ￂﾣ10 for 24 hours is Ok by me. Gym next door is fine, pity no pool/sauna/whirlpool. Breakfast tables pushed close together, but good food selection available. Look forward to hotel refurb with better beds, furniture, bathrooms and aircon, I for one would pay the extra.

Good Points: Near to the town centre for eating and shopping, easy to find and good parking
Further Comments: English breakfast could have been slightly better quality, but was passable. We would definitley book there again. The staff were very friendly too

Good Points: Excellent location, comfortable room, very little noise from surrounding area.
Further Comments: We decided to stay in the Park Inn really for its location. Knowing York and with the plans we had for our weekend stay the hotel was excellently located in the heart of the city, but on a quiet road away from crowds and traffic.Our stay in York, however, was greatly enhanced by hotel itself. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, the buffet breakfast was very nice, the restaurant having a nice view of the river and the bar was well stocked with friendly staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere. The reception staff, likewise, were friendly and informative. Excellent weekend.

Good Points: Clean. Good facilities. ( tv, internet, hairdryer, tea/coffee making)
Bad Points: Noisy. ( Room onto street which seemed busy at night)Windows weren't clean.
Further Comments: Generally, very good hotel, good service, good location.

Further Comments: Booked this hotel as it has a car park but nothing to say that you have to pay an extra ￂﾣ 10.00 to use it.
