Good Points: Very pleasant staff. Comfortable room. Good food and drink. Great location.
Bad Points: TV could use more than 4 stations. Get Cable or at least movies. One morning, it took 45 minutes to get hot water to my room.
Further Comments: Overall, all was OK I am planning a trip to Woodbridge in March and I'm concerned whether the hotel will be open at that time. New owners?

Good Points: convenient for town
Bad Points: More staff needed.Had to wait for check in /checkout/to be served at bar as no one was there.Very noisy central heating.
Further Comments: The hotel needs a general shake up.Staff pleasant enough but needs extra cleaning. The top cover on the bed needs to be washed/cleaned regularly.Mine had to be removed before I could sleep in the bed as it had a strong smell of the last occupant(s)which is totally unacceptable.

Further Comments: Excellent location for visiting Woodbridge and the surrounding areas. We felt that the Hotel was in need of a major refurbishment and the restaurant was poor by comparison with nearby alternatives.

Further Comments: Hotel comfy, food good. Main problem is that operating on a skelton staff. Had to ask sole bar staff to register and cleaner to find some one to check out. this was the member of staff who was taking breakfast orders, delivering the breakfast and checking people out.

Good Points: Clean, comfortable room, nice bar, decent food, nice staff
Bad Points: On the night we arrived, an area of the pub had been taken over by 'youths' not all of which were of pub age. However we mentioned it to the manageress who addressed it immediatley, they did not return during our stay.
Further Comments: Liz, the manageress at the Crown, was very friendly, incredibly competent and is doing a great job for someone so young. She deserves a mentioned Also it is really good to see a pub group giving a young lady the opportunity to run a hotel/pub. Well done

Good Points: The room was a good size and the hotel very conveniently placed. Nice to be able to park car right outside room.
Bad Points: The room smelled a bit musty or unused. When we returned home some of our clothes still smelled of it. (had most effect on my partner who is asthmatic).
Further Comments: We got quite a good deal on price which made the hotel very good value. Most staff were friendly. The hotel claimed continental breakfast but not always available and we never saw a free newspaper, which was also described as complimentary. However having breakfast (cereal, coffee, juice, toast) brought to our room was very nice. Some rooms are separate to main building which may surprise you if you are not aware.

Good Points: seperate from the hotel and very peacefull very clean and roomy staff very friendly and helpfull
Bad Points: could have been a better menu with more basic food

Bad Points: The bathroom shower was not properly attached to the wall. The overall standard of the room and bathroom appeared rather jaded and used.
Further Comments: I use to stay in the Crown a lot a couple of years ago. Then it was warm & friendly with high quality rooms. Because of this I booked again. However I found the new staff unfriendly and the room quality has suffered since. I doubt I will stay there again.

Good Points: Good decoration and quality of fittings and restaurant food

Further Comments: The hotel was well located and well maintained. It has recently been refurbished and had a good atmosphere. We booked an executive room and found it to be very comfortable and spacious with good quality fittings, but it was let down slightly due to housekeeping, half used soap and toiletries and the carpet needed vacuuming. The restaurant food was excellent, but the staff were sadly lacking in basic customer skills. On check in, the receptionist did not seem to know what to do and struggled with the computer. We did have a very enjoyable time chatting with a member of staff in the bar, it may have been the Manager actually, which did restore our faith a bit. All in all, the main fault we found was that the staff, although willing, were badly in need of some training. But we did enjoy our stay and would risk staying there again in the future.

Good Points: In the town centre meant is was a good location
Further Comments: I feel the hotel was overpriced. Although the room was of a good standard there were stains on the mirror that had not be cleaned from where the previous occupant had been squeezing there spots. There were cob webs around the bathroom ceiling. The radiators were very noisy during the night which kept us awake. We were overlooked at breakfast. The view out of the window was a car park. If we had wanted a basic stay we would have booked a chain hotel which I am sure would have been cheaper.

Good Points: Good size room,bed comfortable
Bad Points: cold, as radiator is behind curtains
Further Comments: On check in at 13:15 I was told check in was at earliest 14:00 even though when I booked on line I was asked the approximate time of check which I stated would about 12:00. We then went to the room which had not been cleaned or beds changed since the previous occupant had been there. I advised reception who clearly were not very interested and told me to return to the room in about 30 mins. Overall the staff are not at all friendly or helpful
