| Good Points:
Very friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere. Clean and tidy. Good location for Chester. |
| Bad Points:
There wasn't much hot water. The shower and taps dribbled out really slowly, when I tried to fill a bath the water stopped altogether. Sometimes the heating didn't work. |

| Good Points:
Staff and service were excellent |
| Bad Points:
2 things - Firstly, the bed was broken (but I diddn't report it, so my problem), and secondly, we overheard a negotiation of someone booking a better room over the phone, and I think I could have saved money if I'd booked over the phone. |
| Further Comments: Nice place. I'd recommend to anyone. |

| Further Comments: The hotel is conveniently located and the staff were very efficient and friendly. The room was of a good standard for the rating and very clean and welcoming. The evening meal was exceptional value and served by attentive staff and there was a comfortable reading area available. |

I was very impressed by the overall cleanliness of the hotel and it was very well situated a short distance from the city centre with ample parking facilities. The room was comfortable and well decorated. All of the staff were very helpful and chatty. |
| Further Comments: We really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again in the future. |

| Good Points: Clean room, Nice shower with easy to regulate controls, Tea and coffee in room. Very quiet at night. |
| Bad Points: Car park resembled a building site as it had an old bathroom suite and other builders waste in one corner, but that is only a minor fault and would not stop me recommending this hotel. |
| Further Comments: The location is good as it is only a 15 minute walk to Chester centre or ᅢツᅡᆪ3 by taxi (ᅢツᅡᆪ4.60 after midnight)The staff were always pleasant and helpful and the room was clean, breakfast was ok, all in all it is an ideal hotel for a short break but remember it is only a 2 star, having said that it is a very good 2 star hotel and I would use it again. |

| Good Points: The staff were very helpful and friendly, the hotel was clean and the breakfast, the only meal we had was first rate. |
| Bad Points: Main car park was small and off a busy street with cars parked on either side. |
| Further Comments: The Hotel only has a small main car park and the access road was full of parked cars but when we abandoned the car and went into to the hotel to what they recommended they informed us that there was overflow parking less than a hundred yards away with CCTV and security lighting.
The lady on check-in was very efficient and friendly and when we told her we were travelling into town for a function in the evening she immediately offered to book a taxi for us. The room was not massive but was clean and more than adequate for the one night we were staying. It was quite cool in the room but there was a fan heater that soon warmed us up.
The Hotel as a small comfortable bar with one bitter and one lager on tap and well stocked with spirits. There is a restaurant which we only used for a very good Full English breakfast but the menu looked good and the aromas got the juices flowing as we waited for our taxi to arrive.
The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep, our only real problem was in the morning when my wife was showering and I discovered that although we had power to lights and the shower none of the sockets were working so my wife had wet hair and could not use her dryer.
On reporting this to reception I discovered that this had happened to a number of rooms but they were unable to find the cause. Once again they were very helpful and offered to have hot drinks brought to the room and when I explained about the wet hair they found us an empty room with power so that my wife could use her dryer.
So 10/10 for the staff and 7/10 overall. |
