Good Points: Clean, warm and comfortable with friendly helpful staff and a good breakfast
Bad Points: none absolutely fine the way it is
Further Comments: Nothing I had already stayed there and as a result used it again when visiting my daughter at nearby Bretton Hall

Good Points: Good location - Helpful staff - Good value evening meal
Bad Points: Smoke drifts from communal smoking area into dinning room. This needs a rethink for the benefit of both smokers and non-smokers. No TV remote control in room. Appears past guests have taken them (Shame on you).
Further Comments: Good basic hotel for buisness and other short stays. No frills Try the home cooked eveing meal - good value

Good Points: Everything was really comfortable and clean. The room was a good size too.
Bad Points: The shower in the room could've been mounted better
Further Comments: The guest house it's self was great all in all. Just a short taxi ride away from the town centre, and having a bus stop right outside made it even easier to have a night out. The only downside I experienced was the shower. The box was mounted on one wall and the actual shower head was on another wall, this made if awkward to shower as the tube got in the way. It also would've been helpful to know before I got there that the room I was in was en-suite. I did call them before hand to check but it wasn't clear when booking that not all rooms contained shower facilities.

Bad Points: Re-vamp of decor. It looks a bit dated.
Further Comments: Clean and friendly hotel, ideally situated for access to centre of Wakefield. Bar facilities very reasonably priced. Good full English breakfast.

Good Points: lovely big room. good shower. nice bar area.

Further Comments: The room was lovely and the people friendly. Comfy bed, good shower, lots of space. Breakfast was good too, but difficult to get to as it was very early and the free alarm call you were supposed to get by dialling a number on the phone didn't work. It was a shame we couldn't smoke in the room, but there was a nice bar area where we could. It would have been nice to have more soap and shampoo provided too. All in all though it was nice, spacious, comfortable, friendly and nice.

Further Comments: Would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Wakefield. It is walkable from the town centre and no problems parking either. Room was clean and spacious. We had an en suite bathroom which we weren't expecting. Staff we're friendly and relaxed. Only downside was how early

Further Comments: The owners were welcoming on our arrival. We were there for a theatre trip in the city centre and were helped with local taxi numbers and directions. The rooms very clean, tidy and very accomodating. Breakfast was again excellent and my two childrens varied tastes were well catered for. Would recommend Stanley View to families, couple and lone travellers alike.

Good Points: Spacious, extremely clean and comfortable, everything needed was there. Most of all I was so pleased with the attitude of every one of the staff. Very cheerful and friendly, very helpful.
Bad Points: Minor point - Forgot to mention to staff channel changer for TV not working (?new battery needed)
Further Comments: The accommodation was better than we could have hoped for at the very reasonable cost, and we are often travelling, at home and overseas. The previous time we went to Wakefield I was travelling by car with my sister and her teenage son and we had great difficulty finding anywhere in the region that had any rooms available and finished up in a YMCA! as we had gone in there in desperation to ask if they knew of anywhere,they rang round for us and found that every hotel/BB including motels were indeed full! This time I determined I would find somewhere prior to travelling and did a search on the internet, again all the initial ones I tried were full but luckily came up with Stanley View. When I saw my Aunt who lives in Wakefield, she said some friends of hers had stayed there previously and been very pleased. As you will know the immediate area is not attractive being right in town but the floodlit car parking availability and comfortable accommodation make up for that.

Good Points: It was a large room, the staff were very helpful and I slept perfectly.
Bad Points: The shower could have been more powerful, but that really isn't a complaint.
Further Comments: The accommodation is very close to the city centre, It is a ﾣ4 taxi ride from Wakefield Westgate train station and it is comfortable, clean and with friendly staff. There is parking available for residents and dinner can be purchased for only ﾣ5.

Bad Points: Room did not have bedside lights, there was not satelite tv as it is described on internet, there was not shower gel, and the room was very cold.
