Ramada Chester near Chester: Chester Hotels

Good Points: It was very clean and staff were very polite and helpful.
Bad Points: I feel that there should be pedestrian access to the hotel - although we arrived by car, we walked from the hotel to catch a bus to the city centre, and had to walk along the access road, with some drivers driving a little too fast!
Further Comments: We enjoyed our stay - everything was as we expected, with the added bonus for us that we could get into the city centre via the adjacent park and ride facility. As a base for visiting Chester it was excellent

Good Points: The room was lovely it was very nicely decorated.
Bad Points: I found it a bit of a problem not having a dressing table in the room.
Further Comments: We arrived three hours early and thought we would have to wait until 2 O'clock to check-in but the lady of reception was very helpful and managed to find us a room. We found all the staff very friendly and helpful. It was our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we decided to eat in the restuarant the food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. We found the local taxi firm very reasonable so did not bother with the buses. We had a wonderful time and would definately recommend this hotel.

Good Points: The room was lovely it was very nicely decorated.

Further Comments: Restaurant,housekeeping & spa staff very friendly and helpful. Reception staff less so and gave out misleading info. Hotel itself lacks enough natural light, a decent ventilation system and lifts.

Good Points: Modern, clean, and value for money. Ideally located for a short drive into Chester City Centre.
Bad Points: Hotel room was a little on the small side!
Further Comments: Just a short drive from Chester City Centre the hotel is ideally located for the leisure traveller wanting an overnight stay at a reasonable price. Modern and clean; the room was a little on the small side but contained all the amenities required for an overnight stay. The restaurant aired on the expensive side but offered a wide choice of evening and breakfast menu - the standard of the food we had was excellent.

Good Points: The rooms were very clean and fresh with top-quality TVs. The leisure facilities were excellent.
Bad Points: The rooms were extremely warm - we had to get up and put on the electric fan. The swimming pool was very shallow.
Further Comments: I think it would have been helpful to have known of the fairly long distances to the bedrooms from the reception area. It took a deceptively long time and, while fine for the able-bodied, would have presented problems for those less mobile.

Further Comments: I was very dissapointed in the size of the room and the bathroom was minute compared with many of the hotels we have stayed at.

Good Points: Room was clean. Reception staff very pleasant. Breakfast ok.
Bad Points: Small bits of litter and mud on corridors and stairs, still there the next day. No fridge, no newspaper offered.

Further Comments: Good place, would stay again. Food very good as I dont normally eat in hotels this is a real complement. Breakfast was good for a buffet, even the fied eggs were fresh cooked.

Bad Points: Smallish room but OK for one night
Further Comments: Everything was fine, evening meal was lovely. It was a sunny day and the barman kindly opened up access to the garden, we found the staff very accommodating.
