Good Points: proximity to centre of Chester
Bad Points: the carpet was threadbear and the floorboards where all lose and noisy. Also the lift was out of order.
Further Comments: Overall was not happy with the standard of the hotel, food or prices in the bar. All were not good

Good Points: Staff very friendly, excellent for all attractions, cracking breakfast.
Bad Points: Late night buskers in the street below.
Further Comments: The hotel would benefit by having its own carpark. Some of the decor is a little tired but an overall picture says not bad.The bar is well expensive.

Good Points: Location - very central
Bad Points: Not up to MacDonald hotel standard
Further Comments: Hotel rooms were in poor state of repair. Cracks in ceiling, floor tiles, furniture worn out, holes in net curtains, cig burns in bedspread.Room not clean - dusty and some sticky substance on bathroom floor. Were given upgrade on second night and also refund for first night but should have been warned hotel is due refurb when booking. Hotel is nowhere near standard of other MacDonald hotels we have stayed at.

Good Points: N/A
Bad Points: See Below
Further Comments: The whole experience was shambolic. We checked into the room and then immediately complained to the manager as the room was damp, dirty, walls had cracks, wooden bath pannels were rotting, wall paper was peeling. This was without doubt the worst hotel i have stayed in during the past 10 years.

Good Points: Location of the Hotel was excellent and important as we had a dissabled guest with us.
Bad Points: Our room was rather tired and not very clean
Further Comments: Our Friend stayed in a mini suite and this was cleaner. I would stay at the hotel again as we loved the location and Chester. I would hope for a cleaner and larger room next time

Further Comments: The staff were generally helpful except one member of staff who was verging on being rude. I would not recommend this hotel on the basis of this.

Good Points: The room was spacious.
Bad Points: It is the 3rd time we have stayed at the Blossoms Hotel in Chester, sadly our last - we were not happy with the increased cost and the hotels charging us for breakfast. The room could also do with repair.
Further Comments: Our third visit to Blossoms and our last, the receptionist was adequate (not exactly polite), the room was well-sized but poorly maintained, the cost had increased but additional charges (such as breakfast) were also added. After two good stays at Blossoms (in 2004 and 2005), this year was disappointing.

Good Points: Good central location with an impressive foyer.
Bad Points: General appearance of hotel beyond the initial foyer & dining room was disappointing. Dated decor & extreemly worn carpets were highly apparent. No air conditioning when we stayed which made the stay uncomfortable. Service at bar was also disappointing. I expected more for my money & would therefore not consider another stay at the Blossoms Hotel.
Further Comments: Paid on arrival by cash & as a result had problems later on at the bar obtaining drinks due to the fact that they needed to be booked to the credit card which had paid for the stay. Bar staff wouldn't accept cash. This was frustrating as we had not been informed of this when we paid on arrival. Drinks were also v.expensive when finally resolved. The whole stay was not v.good value for money.

Good Points: The location was fantastic, very central.
Bad Points: Fixtures and fittings were a little tired and are in need of updating
Further Comments: We booked 5 rooms and although we were all charged the same price the rooms were of very different sizes, some rooms fit the 2 single beds in and not much more and some were about 3 times bigger....... Although the hotel was clean it was very old fashioned and the decorations were in need of updating. The price is high I guess because of the location which is fantastic, but for what it was I think it was expensive especially as breakfast was not included and would have cost a further οΎ£13.50 each!!!!!
