Good Points: The bedroom was excellent, as was the breakfast. Staff most helpful and friendly.
Further Comments: As this was our first visit to The Dene Hotel we were a little apprehensive as to what the accomodation would be like. As a mature couple we do like cleanliness, comfort and good food. All this and more we found at the Dene Hotel. Anymore functions in Southport, we will not hesitate to book again at this hotel.

Good Points: Comfortable with good facilities
Bad Points: The shower was poor - at first it took a long time for the water to get hot, and it didn't get hot at all for the second shower. Would have liked a hot chocolate drink in the room, not just tea and coffee
Further Comments: I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the hotel - it was reasonably priced and I was expecting something much smaller. There was a nice relaxed atmosphere and the staff were friendly and helpful

Good Points: The accomodation was bright clean and tidy.
Further Comments: The hotel was friendly and welcoming. It also is very good value for money,the only small snag is that it is a good walk from the city center to the hotel.

Good Points: It was close to Chester, were the firm had a Christmas party. It had freindly co-operative staff and provided reasonable value for money.
Bad Points: Some of the parts of the Hotel are showing their age.

Bad Points: poor customer service we asked to have christmas dinner the night that we stayed was told by a member of staff that this was ok and was doing them that night but when we got to our table we was told they had no stock to do christmas meals we was very disapointed also we asked a member of staff a question which she didnt know the answer but she never bothered to find out so had to ask someone else later that day

Bad Points: smell of paint.Very noisey guests beside my room both nights
Further Comments: hotel too far from centre of chester for someone without transport.Noise in next room ruined my stay

Bad Points: The shower in the room was very poor, it had no pressure what so ever and was like a drip. It also took ages to warm up. The warm was also very cold at night
Further Comments: It was handy place to stay very close to town and train station. Everything was good apart from a few problems in the room.

Good Points: friendly staff
Bad Points: room 55 that we stayed in was a bit to close to the dining room, got woke up rather early with people getting ready for breakfast. Shower very difficult to regulate a decent temp.
