Good Points: Staff were helpful
Bad Points: It was undergoing extensive refurbishment. That should have been flagged when it was booked or you should offer a reduction in price
Further Comments: It is not appropriate to offer a hotel for accomodation when it was undergoing refurbishment.

Good Points: easy access to town, good location
Bad Points: dusty due to refurbishment, all areas dirty.
Further Comments: Apprciate that the hotel was being refurbished and a notice did inform us. However, monitoring dust levels on staircases and woodwork should be a priority.

Bad Points: We were not informed that refurbishment was being undertaken
Further Comments: Outside of the hotel was disappointing. The welcome we received was good and we were informed then about refurbishment. Once this has been completed I am sure the hotel would be fine.

Good Points: Price was right, bed was fine.
Bad Points: Bathroom was cramped.
Further Comments: A good, value for money hotel. You can pay more for better facilities but if you just want somewhere to stay that's value for money then the Eaton is fine. I'd stay there again.

Good Points: The hotel is situated in a very good location. only a couple of minutes walk away from main shopping area.
Bad Points: The bathroom shower could have been better as only trickles of water came out. only shampoo was provided.
Further Comments: the hotel was very clean and the reception was very efficient, with a prompt checking in service. there is suitable parking at the rear of the hotel which was quite secure. the hotel itself had a very family orientated atmosphere and overall we felt the experiance pleasurable and would stay again.

Good Points: Short walking distance into town center. Some fairly good restaurants adjacent. Shower room /Toilet appeared new and well laid out.
Bad Points: Double bed cramped into space for it, leaving very narrow access one side. Limited Parking available. The Management readily stated they will reimburse any parking charges necessary locally, so it is not a major issue but worth noting.

Good Points: Convenience - close to train station and restaurants.
Further Comments: Very convenient - close to train station, city centre and restaurants. Helpful staff and a nice place to stay. Room had shower/ toilet facilities, TV, coffee/ tea making facilities too. Would stay again.

Bad Points: room overlooked fairly busy road
Further Comments: Only stayed one night but found staff very friendly and efficient. car parking not great and several nights in a room overlooking road may prove too much. Enjoyed stay in a lovely city.

Further Comments: Only stayed one night but found staff very friendly and efficient. car parking not great and several nights in a room overlooking road may prove too much. Enjoyed stay in a lovely city.

Good Points: Staff members were all very friendly, helpful & cheerful Own room clean & tidy. Breakfast was plentiful, tasty & freshly cooked.
Bad Points: Diningroom floor extremely dirty. Bathroom strongly smelled of damp. Bed uncomfortable. Insufficient parking space, not even accessible after 9pm Previous guest had left underwear in room.
Further Comments: Individual staff members were extremely courteous, cheerful & friendly. One staff volunteered to carry my suitcase up the 3 floors up from the car park, others (unasked) came out into heavy rain to return my purse & to help with accessing the car park.

Bad Points: Weather had turned very chilly, and there was no central heating.

Bad Points: shabby room. Had to prop open the window with telephone directory to get some air. poor shower, easier to wait for bath to fill up.
Further Comments: No lifts had to climb 2 flights of stairs. No heat in room when needed. Would be worth paying more for better facilities.

Further Comments: I enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was excellent value for money. The position of the hotel is one of its assetts.

Good Points: The room was clean
Bad Points: Everything was dated. Hallways were depressing with dreadful old doors to the rooms
Further Comments: Reception etc wasn't too bad. But it needs a great deal of money spending on it.
