Good Points: Clean and tidy
Bad Points: Wallpaper torn, paintwork chipped, in urgent need of redecorating
Further Comments: The hotel is very nice,and staff very friendly. Having stayed here before I know not all rooms are in the shabby state as the one I was in.

Bad Points: reception staff require some training in customer service found them very rude and unfriendly

Further Comments: Very good public areas, good restaurant, clean room, plenty of parking. Very pleasant traditional Hotel.

Further Comments: We enjoyed our stay immensely, and we hope to repeat this experience.

Good Points: A conventional spacious hotel with excellent staff. Large car park.
Bad Points: Window looked out onto a flat roof and couldn't be locked in an open position.
Further Comments: All very pleasant. Entertained daughter and grandson to afternoon tea (tea, scones etc.) and this was efficiently served and reasonably priced. We would come again.

Good Points: the hotel was well presented, the flower displays gave a feeling of well being. The dining room created a feeling of comfort and class, as did the library.
Bad Points: We stayed in room 101 which had a very uncomfortable and noisy bed which was not condusive to a good nights sleep. My husband actually slept on the floor on the second night.
Further Comments: We were on the whole pleased with the experience. The dining room and library were delightful, the staff very helpfull and friendly, the only problem was the bed.

Good Points: Adequately comfortable and quiet with nice soft pillows!
Further Comments: We had a very relaxing few days which is just what we wanted. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and professional. This has been our second stay here.

Further Comments: the staff were all very friendly and efficient from the moment you walked in the door to the time we left ,always someone to help if required ,room was a1 the food was very good and plentiful anyone not enjoying this hotel must need a councilor

Good Points: The hotel was beautiful, the staff were helpful and the food was lovely.
Bad Points: The quality of the bedroom was really poor, very dated decor and basic equipment also it stunk of old cigarette smoke in all the furnishings.
Further Comments: Overall the standard of the hotel, the service and the food were excellrnt, howver was very disapointed in the poor quality of the bedroom which seemed even more noticable in comparison to other aspects of the hotel. In general the booking proceedure was fine and the standard of service was good.

Good Points: The bar area was lovely. Very relaxing.
Bad Points: No Wi-Fi. This is the new constant hot water so surprised by its absence.
Further Comments: A very good, value for money hotel. The staff were rushed off their feet on occasions but that's normal for most hotels.

Good Points: The hotel was very nice in the main areas downstairs - bars and seating areas. Staff were very accomodating and helpful.
Bad Points: The rooms are all very dated and in need of sprucing up. There were some problems with the bookings, which seemed to result in multiple rooms being booked for my group. This was not rectified as requested by me on the phone but was sorted on arrival at the hotel.
Further Comments: The hotel is very well run and the main communal areas had real character and looked lovely. The bars and restaurants were comfortable and spacious. Staff were very helpful and courteous. The only whinge would be that the rooms are generally very dated and in need of modernisation.

Good Points: Wonderful accommodation, friendly staff.
Bad Points: Did miss my power shower.
Further Comments: Although asked for non smoking room was given a smoking room, but was rectified immediately. Anyway from the 1st of June they have jumped the gun and made it totally non-smoking, fantastic.

Good Points: Good position in the town. Excellent car-park. Good food. What more could we need?
Further Comments: A very enjoyable few days. The staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel facilities, dining room, bars, and other lounges were comforable, airy, light and a pleasant experience.
