Good Points: The restaurant meal was delicious
Bad Points: The room was rather shabby and the meal and drinks overpriced. We have never been charged for bread before!

Good Points: It was clean and cosy. A huge room with a country atmosphere. It had a personal touch throughout.
Further Comments: Lovelly hotel and I would recommend it to friends and family. Nicest hotel I have stayed in so far. Acommodating staff, friendly owner, good food, nice atmosphere and comfortable stay.

Good Points: Friendly staff, relaxed environment, comfortable bar with some good local beers and an open log fire. Restaurant and food options to satisfy all tastes and purses
Bad Points: The room was showing signs of wear and would benefit from a complete redecoration. (Peeling wallpaper) Wall to wall carpeted bathrooms also give me the creeps! Attention should also be given to the heating and water systems; no hot water left for rinsing hair at 7a.m. on a Sunday morning!
Further Comments: A family get together in the area meant the situation was ideal and the position on the A 46 did not cause any traffic disturbance although our stay was on a Friday and Saturday night. Public rooms were relaxed and welcoming with friendly staff, good food, comfortable bar with local beers in front of a log fire. Bedroom was spacious and well furnished in pine style. The decor was a little tired with peeling paper and perhaps a little more attention to vacuuming the floor would help. The plumbing while generally serviceable would benefit from an overhaul to prevent premature shortage of hot water. Mobile phone reception in the immediate area is very iffy, for most this would be a blessing but some may find it a drawback. Overall a pleasant experience and one we would be happy to repeat.

Bad Points: The internet pictures did not replicate the room in which we stayed (which was of a poorer standard)There was no Sky TV or internet connection as advertised. There was little information about the hotel available in the room.
Further Comments: The hotel was lacking in atmosphere.The food was ok but choice was limited with a number of items unavailable. The overall impression was tired and in need of an injection of something to liven it up. The service was ok and the bed was comfortable. General cleanliness was ok. The small bar and lounge were together and the layout did not make for ambience.

Good Points: The hotel was really well-situated for our stay in the area, particularly for our visit to Westonbirt Arboretum.
Further Comments: A clean and comfortable hotel which provided everything we needed for a weekend break. The restaurant provided good food both for breakfast and the evening meal.

Good Points: It was very warm and welcoming and the beds were comfy (although a bit creaky, the food was great and the proprietors did all they could to accommodate your needs.
