Bad Points: little too far from city centre
Further Comments: reasonable standard accomodation, adequate parking, good selection of breakfast items to choose from. The bathroom was a little too small. Overall however, the hotel was clean and adequate for our stay. The hotel was just a little too far from the city centre, which would take about half an hour to walk. This would have been fine if the weather had been better !!

Good Points: within walking distance of the main attractions in York centre
Further Comments: Good quality hotel, friendly helpful staff, good breakfast selection. clean comfortable rooms with en-suit. restaurant/bar facillities if required. car parking on site. Good location to York centre with good bus routes.

Good Points: Clean room; good bed; additional bed-settee; good en-suite facility.
Bad Points: Would have appreciated a snack (biscuits etc.) with tea making facilities.
Further Comments: The overall impression was good; we enjoyed the breakfast arrangement and food plus the dinner on Thursday evening was of reasonable standard and fair price. Directions to the hotel were good and enabled it to be located easily. The location was also convenient allowing use of the local public transport into York. All in all, this was an enjoyable weekend made better by a nice hotel.

Good Points: breakfast was excellent with good choice, staff always helpful and polite. hotel was superb.
Bad Points: yes had difficulty finding hotel despite being sent directions from your partner website

Bad Points: the restaurant food was dreadful the bar meal on the first night took 1 hour to arrive. the food let the hotel down as does tea and coffee served in a flask at breakfast
Further Comments: the rooms are nicely decorated but missing the english neccesity of a teapot and biscuits. the reception staff were friendly and helpful as were the bar staff who were only there for the weekend as well!. the restaurant staff lacked maturity which was reflected in the standard of serving. There was no atmoshepre in the restaurant and I have never had such a bad salad. the puddings were mass produced and the lamb more fat than meat.On the first night we were tired from travelling and decided on a quck bar meal in preference to the restaurant. Waiting an hour for a sub standard meal was not much fun.The food was expensive and unpleasant and that combination ruins the hotel as a place to stay - no return visits will be planned.

Further Comments: Good bus service nearby which means you can leave car at hotel.parking in York town centre is limited and expensive.

Good Points: No problems with parking. Check in staff rpovided excellent service and information. Restaurant staff were attentive, polite and very helpful.
Bad Points: No bad points at all.
Further Comments: The room was nicely laid out. The heavy curtains provided a good degree of light elimination and some sound protention, although the room itself was extremely quiet. Bathroom was very clean and a good size. Checking in and out was simplicity itself.

Good Points: Breakfast was buffet style and had excellent choice of food!
Bad Points: No mini bar in rooms although was advertised with mini bar.
Further Comments: This hotel was very clean and pleasant. The breakfast was excellent. Booked to have dinner there one evening but was sadly disappointed at the menu, not much choice and wine was extremely over priced for the quality. However, overall this was an excellent stay, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit this hotel again in the future.
