Good Points: my stay was warm and welcoming and i will stay again
Bad Points: i could not find any fault with my stay
Further Comments: overall i found no fault with my stay and enjoyed the two nights that myself and my partner had

Good Points: Rooms were well furnished and decorated. Unfortunately the air conditioning did not work/was not connected and with the very hot weather became unbearably hot. A portable fan was provided but didn't help. It would have helped if the chambermaid had shut the curtains to exclude the sun in our West facing room.
Bad Points: The air conditioning in the dining room made the food get cold very quickly. The tea pots were very bad pourers and there was always a flood of tea at first pouring.
Further Comments: We had a pleasant stay in the hotel despite the above. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Requests were answered very promptly. Access to transport to town was very close and frequent. Pleasant walks around the hotel.

Good Points: Quiet, warm and trouble free.
Bad Points: None, just refurbishment when required.
Further Comments: Was not sure about the accommodation rate, as other websites appeared to offer cheaper rates for the same dates at the same hotel. However when I attempted to book at a cheaper rate - the hotel was full. It was not when I booked via yourselves, but your rate was higher by ﾣ15!

Good Points: Generally comfortable and standard of cleanliness good.
Bad Points: A little dated in terms of accommodation and decor. Menu in the junction needs to provide more healthier food options and to be better in terms of cost effectiveness. Also some areas of complex smelt of smokiness. Would prefer a complex where there was a complete non smoking policy.
Further Comments: Very helpful and welcoming staff. Car parking good but and plenty of space. Mostly fairly quiet although some noise from guests returning to hotel in early hours.

Good Points: Staff very friendly and accommodating and keen to sort out any issues
Bad Points: The hotel badly needs updating of decoration as it looks quite tired Wireless internet access would be a definite advantage
Further Comments: The hotel was easy to find and amenities were good. The food served in the restaurant for both dinner and for breakfast was of a high standard. Having requested a smoking room however we were surprised at the high level of smell in the room and the fabric. The smell was so bad that it kept us awake the first night.

Bad Points: Couldn't get a smoking room - no soap in bathroom - dressing gowns were hard
Further Comments: The stay was spoiled by the fact that my friend could not smoke as we could not get a smoking room. Also I think the films should be provided free.

Good Points: Quiet location. Lots of parking spaces. Very good buffet breafast
Bad Points: Room temperature was low: radiators did not seem to give out much heat.
Further Comments: Good location two miles south of York city, with plenty of parking spaces. Quiet hotel in residential area. Comfortable rooms with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Good restuarant (open evenings) and bar: particularly good breakfast (served until 11 am at weekends) and free newspaper provided.

Good Points: Very clean, and warm in room. Receptionists extremly friendly and very helpful
Bad Points: A bit on the small side, bathroom needed updating, no mini bar although stated there should have been.
Further Comments: We both enjoyed our stay in York, but felt the cost of drinks was extortinate and also the cost of eating in the Hotel was high. We therefore choose to go to the pub over the road which offered better value. Perhaps the hotel chain should look at offering their selection of food and drink at a more reasonable price and not risk loosing their existing clients to other bars and restaurants. Also the door opposite our room was used constantly by housekeeping staff and was quite loud when it was opened and shut by persons using it, up to 30-40 times an hour.
