Good Points: The view from 212 was one of the BEST in the world.....absoultly wonderful. !!!
Bad Points: You could tell they are about to shut down for repairs....the carpet was dirty, the curtain in the bath was filthy, the cigarette butts on the balcony were way too many to count...it was a lovely view, but you felt like you were stepping into an ash tray when you walked out.
Further Comments: I think you are ahead of yourself in knowing you are about to re-model. Thus you have let things slip. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The view we had was the highlite of the stay, or daughter's room (201) had no view, and the window was painted shut. I know you are about to redo, and yes I would return, but run the vaccum first please.

Good Points: the view of windsor castle
Bad Points: the dining areas were dilapitated
Further Comments: the view of the castle from our room was stunning also proximity lack of air conditioning was noticable and the lift kept breaking down meaning moving luggage was a problem.

Good Points: Absolutely nothing
Bad Points: Room overcrowded with furniture, no air conditioning, no fridge.
Further Comments: Staff were sewcond rate, not very polite, and no incentive to dine at the hotel. We did have breakfast one morning which was on a par with a road-side cafe. Overall 1 out of 10 and that's for the view of Windsor Castle from the room which was on the 4th floor and I might add that the single lift was out of order, leaving me to carry 4 suitcases downstairs on our departure, as there was no porter. The worst hotel I have stayed at and would not recommend it to anyone. My guest from Australia was so disappointed with the whole stay.

Bad Points: 2 single beds were pushed together whiched made the bed uneven, not enough space to use the ironing board.
Further Comments: I asked in advanced if we could check in at 12.00pm as we had a wedding at 2.30pm to attend and phoned up to make sure it was ok, they said yes. Then when we got there they said we could not check in untill 2.00pm as the room has not been house kept. This was a panic already as I only had half an hour to get ready for a wedding.

Good Points: Very convenient location for walking to the Castle, catching buses and enjoying a walk around Windsor.
Bad Points: No parking facilities. So guests with cars have to park in shopping centre and then walk back to hotel.
Further Comments: Although the location is excellent the hotel was looking rather shabby when considering the price charged and comparable hotels. Bathrooms rather sparse and basic. Small rather poky reception area.I understand a refurbishment is planned for later this year. The noisy band playing in the downstairs bar until just after midnight was a nuisance - guests wanting to sleep should have been given consideration - this was a midweek evening! Breakfast should also have been included I think. we chose to walk into Windsor and enjoy breakfast at one of the many coffee shops. Information about parking before I arrived would have been helpful.

Bad Points: The weather made the room virtually untenable as no fans were provided and once the curtains were drawn, the room was far too hot for sleeping
Further Comments: We were also far from hapy with your eating accommodation -- I know service bars have a particular aroma, but yours put off any intended eating whilst we were visiting you.

Good Points: Bed comfortable
Bad Points: No air conditioning, room very, very hot. No one thought about closing curtains to reduce heat in room. On arrival opening 104 door and seeing pigeon droppings all over the window. The noise of the pigeons whilst trying to sleep in uncomfortable temperature. On arrival I had to quickly change for a function, I noticed the bed-side light shade was broken and the electrical wiring showing. As I had no time and didn't get back to the hotel until after midnight I did not pursue. Getting into bed and turning the lights off at wall there was a large bang and all power was lost in room. In the morning I had to shower, shave and get ready without electricity. On leaving I reported the incident to the front desk and manager - question is why didn't the house-keeper/cleaner notice this?
