Further Comments: It's nice to find such a stylish and unique hotel in the heart of Hove when most of the alternatives are two-night-only B&Bs or boring hotel chains. Deep, seductive colours on the walls, velvet everywhere, friendly staff and good cocktails in the bar. There are loads of places nearby to eat and drink, and it's right on the seafront.

Good Points: Lovely decore and adequate room facilities. The general presentation of the hotel is beautiful and the staff are very polite and friednly. There is a good attitude to service and the food was delicious.
Bad Points: The room was very small and therefore not great value for money, it is worth upgrading although this should not be necessary when room rates are this high.
Further Comments: I was delighted with the attitude of the staff at the Lansdowne, they are incredibly friendly and attentive. On this vistit (it was our second) I was very dissapointed with the room, it was very small, with room rates like this that really shouldn't be the case. I would certainly recommend a room upgrade just for comfort. The location of the hotel is fantastic, set just off the sea front and walking distance from Brighton. We were very impressed with the food and service that we recieved, and the general presentation of the hotel is to a high standard.

Good Points: Th first impression of the hotel was sumptuous.
Bad Points: The room was very small and the staff seemed over stressed. There was quite a bit of dust on surfaces in the lobby and bar area.
Further Comments: For ￂﾣ140 a night I would expect a bigger room. The bed was aproximately 6 inches shorter than the length of the room which meant that I had to squeeze by the end of the bed to leave or go or to the bathroom. The windows were filthy. Decor was nice. The lift was not working - not a problem for us as we were on the first floor, but may be problematic for anyone with a disability. The bar area was dusty. The staff seemed to be over stressed and not very well trained. Only one member of staff smiled the whole time that we were there. It took 20mins to check out as there was only one person manning the front desk.

Good Points: FAIRLY QUITE AREA JUST OFF THE BEATING TRACK BUT NOT TOO FAR AWAY FROM BRIGHTON.THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN AND WAS EXPECTED IT TO LIKE.
Bad Points: I THINK THAT THE CAR SHOULD BE FREE FOR GUESTS
Further Comments: THE ONLY SLIGHT PROBLEM I HAD WAS I ORDERED A BEEF BURGER AND IT WAS COOKED TO MY LIKEING, BUT THE KITCHEN MANAGER SORTED IT OUT OK AND, OFFERED TO REPLACE THE MEAL, OR NOT TO CHARGE FOR IT SO THAT WAS FINE WITH ME. I LEFT HAPPY WITH THAT AND CERTAINLY WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL 9 OUT 10.

Good Points: The room was spacious, clean and modern. The staff were very helpful and polite.
Bad Points: A bit exspensive as it does not include breakfast.
Further Comments: My overall opinion of the hotel is positive. My boyfriend and i loved the room as it was everything we expected and imagined. We can't wait to go again!!

Further Comments: the hotel was really nice, had a very posh/expensive feel about it but was still reasonably priced. the room was a little small but still lovely, it didn't however have a mini bar or a iron/ironing board. the staff were very friendly and helpful. the bar downstairs could be bigger for such a large hotel but it was still good. i loved the deco of the whole place.

Good Points: very modern & clean. good location. friendly & professional staff
Bad Points: very noisy room (301. there was a private do in the function room so the bar was packed out & we felt like we were pushed out.
