Good Points: It was elegant
Bad Points: It was rather cramped
Further Comments: The hotel was elegant and welcoming. I would have liked to have known the opening hours of the Spa and to have had the opportunity to book a treatment. Personally I would love to be able to make a decent sized cup of tea in the morning and to have been able to actually read by the light from the bedside lamp which may have been warm and romantic but it was after all a single room....! Having said that, I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Good Points: I thought the staff were very friendly and helpful, great breakfasts, loved the art in the rooms and the common areas, great location, small rooms but beautifully decorated

Bad Points: Room was very small, no parking available.

Good Points: The hotel was clean and reasonably well maintained with a good breakfast.
Bad Points: Single room was small, hot and cramped and whilst at front of hotel, road works were to commence next morning and the staff did not warn me of this or ask if I would like another room away from the frontage.

Bad Points: The outside trees in windows are dead. It gives the wrong first impression!The bathroom has not got enough surfaces for two people toileteries. There are no shower cups and not enough bubble bath.
Further Comments: Our room was extremely small for Two people of our size. We were lucky that there was another room available. There was no bar/ fridge in the room. These facilities are expected in hotels of that standard.We did not like the colour of your room doors, they did not match the carpets at all.

Good Points: the accomodation was very comfortable and I enjoyed my stay.

Good Points: Lots of character. Nice location off the main road. Rooms very well appointed. Staff very helpful and courtious from the moment we arrived till the moment we left
Bad Points: Lack of radio/music channels on TV
Further Comments: Lovley hotel with heaps of character. Rooms are very well appointed and decorated to a tasteful standard. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A much nicer approach than some of the more formal establishments in this star bracket. Very nice stay indeed!

Good Points: Close to sea front. Reasonable size room
Bad Points: Room looked tired. Inadequate heating, strange stains on hall carpets. Room service menu inadequate and unpleasant. Ill-trained staff seemed uninterested and unwelcoming. No real character. NOT a boutique hotel!
Further Comments: As above, this could be so much better so easily, with a little care and a staff that seemed pleased to see visitors. It needs attention to decoration and minor scuffs/stains need to be dealt with. Room service is an important feature of a good boutique hotel and should be appealing. To be offered a choice of white wine, described as the house Sauvignon or the other one does not inspire confidence or awaken appetites.There was almost a perceptible delight taken in announcing that the car park was full. Crushed red velvet as decor needs a lot of style to be carried off properly

Good Points: Beautiful Room
Bad Points: NO Mirror anywhere near a plug socket - NO red or blue etc on taps in bath or shower - my daughter scalded herself on the hot tap.
Further Comments: Overall the staff were very helpful but things were not quite of a 4* standard. ie. our sheets weren't changed - you couldn't turn on the bath or shower taps unless you stood in the bath. Bar Menu very disappointing, overpriced parking and internet charges. Lighting great for romance but not for working or reading in the room, why bother with internet access if there is no where to sit and work ? Great walk-in wardrobe but it was so dark you couldn't find anything in it ! Lighting from the rear access car park was not working and the stairway is very dangerous, despite reporting the lighting on the second day of my stay it was still not fixed by the end of the week. After speaking with the Manager, she did arrange for us to have dinner on the house on our last evening which turned out to be very nice due to the attention and service given after the complaints !!! The spa faciltiies and treatments were excellent.
