Good Points: On viewing the hotel interior and the room we descided not to stay at this hotel.
Bad Points: The hotel smelt of stale food, the carpets were shabby and dirty, the room was in a state of dis-repair (holes in the walls, electrical fittings dangling).etc.
Further Comments: The hotel gave the appearance of a doss house.

Good Points: the people were brilliant, very welcoming, and friendly.
Bad Points: The room, old fashioned.
Further Comments: The location of the Hotel is good, near to the attraction but it wasnt busy and noisy, The people there were lovly, breakfast was good too.

Good Points: the Food
Bad Points: The room was not cleaned,we bought our own milk, the sink was hanging off the wall.
Further Comments: The room was fairly clean but decorated 70's style.The paintwork was appauling, staff were very accommodating but did not service the room. There is nothing I would like to have known prior to booking,I expected better standards.

Further Comments: Our stay was very welcoming, friendly and comfortable. I would definately choose this hotel again.

Good Points: It was basic
Bad Points: mattress was a bit flat, could feel the bed board underneath

Good Points: the hotel was basic but excellent value for money located only a few minutes walk from the shops and nightlife!
Bad Points: the only downside to the hotel was you could hear people talking in the adjacent rooms
Further Comments: excellent staff at the hotel ideal for groups or couples but definately not for families.the bar was open all night if you wanted it!! excellent hot breakfast to help you recover from your hangover!!

Good Points: Breakfast was served very quickly & a good meal other than that nothing!
Bad Points: Met at reception desk by a very scruffy overweight man ( not very pleasant) the bedrooms were disgusting if it wasn't for the fact that they had my bank card details we would have turned around & walked out!
Further Comments: NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Good Points: Room, bathroom and sheets all felt nice and clean. Great location to walk to Empress Ballroom. Radiator control in room so you could have as much heat 24hrs as you want. Plenty of clean towels and soap. Shower was hot and powerful.
Bad Points: On-suite shower room ceiling tiles were a bit damp but this didn't bother me.
Further Comments: We stayed just one night for a concert. The owner was great fun, chatty and really helpful-changed our room from double to twin happily. I found it easy to park on the road 5mins walk away, may be more difficult in summer but thats the same for any place in a good location. Breakfast was great, relaxed self service with as much as you could eat. The room was a decent size, I'm sure you could find equal or better value if you drove about and took a chance but we wanted convenience. I'd have no problem with going back.Thank you and good luck with the gambling campaign.

Good Points: Cheap & Cheerful - Couldn't ask for much more for ﾣ20 pp
Bad Points: General Modernising and decorating etc bathrooms could have been nicer - but were generally clean.
Further Comments: Was pleasantly surprised when we arrived....due to the price had expected something pretty down market! Generally the hotel could benefit from some updating however you do get what you pay for - and we were happy. Pretty realxed atmosphere at the hotel. If you're just looking for somewhere to put your head down
