Good Points: Proximity to the beach.
Bad Points: The rooms smelt stale and kitchen smells permeated the accomodation.
Further Comments: The internet photo is a bit misleading. It appears to be a stand alone property within gardens. It is in fact in a strip of housing. The rooms were clean and tidy but cooking odours etc permeated the rooms. It may have been a bad day in the kitchen!! Proximity to the beach was perfect.

Further Comments: were at the isle of wight festival for the weekend and our stay at the hotel was perfect. only complaint was on email confirmation the checkout was down for midday but we were called at 10.45 reminding us chck out was at 11...! this was not the hotels fault though and caouldn't fault our stay.

Good Points: Fantastic location. Great staff. Instant rapport with the owners
Further Comments: Good, old fashioned hospitality. We struck and instant rapport with the owners and their staff and also with the other guests many of which seem to be regulars. The accomodation was spotless and very comfortable. If I was pushed (very hard!) to find fault, it would be that the fittings were a little dated and works to the new extension at the rear were not the prettiest view....... The food was very good and not too modern! Good sized portions and varied menu to suit all tastes. The staff were more than happy to provide something not on the menu if they had the ingredients. The hotel is located right on the front with a good strip of sandy beach. It is a quiet location with only residential neighbours, being a good 15mins walk into Seaview. We shall go again!

Further Comments: Wahrscheinlich wￃﾤre es mￃﾶglich gewesen, per Telefon ein Zimmer mit Sicht auf's Meer zu bekommen. Es lohnt sich, in guten Restaurants der Gegend fￃﾼr's Abendessen zu reservieren.

Further Comments: This hotel is in a superb location if you are visiting the NE area of the Isle of Wight. Literally a 7-8 minute drive from Ryde esplanade, great facilities in a wonderful location. Homely and good service and food, and the added luxury of great

Further Comments: This hotel is in a superb location if you are visiting the NE area of the Isle of Wight. Literally a 7-8 minute drive from Ryde esplanade, great facilities in a wonderful location. Homely and good service and food, and the added luxury of great (Solent)sea views and a jacuzzi/bath and separate shower.

Good Points: Very very quiet, therefore a good nights sleep
Bad Points: One noted problem with my Bath Room, that being a safely issue, it is against electrical regulations to have a drop cord light fitting in a Bath Room, these must be bulk head fittings to avoid any risk of electrocution. I intended to report this on check out but forgot.
Further Comments: Not suitable for older guests two sets of steps per floor. Reception said that they have plans to install an elevator. TV a little dated

Good Points: Location and the people who owned it

Further Comments: It would have been nice to know that there was no lift available as there was 4 sets of stairs to go up. The food was oustanding, all fresh produce bought the day of the meal. The chef is top quality and so are the owners David & Joyce who make great conversation and make you feel welcome
