| Good Points:
Having breakfast included was great as it saved us from having to look around for a place to eat in the early morning. |
| Bad Points:
The price was a great deal higher than any other we found in the IOW. |

| Good Points: It was a homely hotel, in the middle of the island. Conveniently located. |
| Bad Points: It wasn't as clean as we were hoping it would be. No parking meant nipping out early to put coins in the meter! |
| Further Comments: The hotel is centrally located and it is ideal as a base from which to explore the whole of the island. It's not far from the ferry points either.
The owners of the hotel were nice, friendly people and we wish them well with their enterprise.
The hotel is small and homely and you're left to your own devices, which isn't a bad thing. You can come and go as you please.
The room was a double room with four-poster bed and an en-suite. It was fine, with a small flat-screen TV, tea/coffee making facilities and provisions for a cot can be made. The bathroom was functional - nothing else.
I would urge the owners to keep the rooms and bathrooms a little cleaner. Olde-worlde is great, but shouldn't venture into hygiene!
Great stay, price was fair (for an expensive island, the price was acceptable).
I would stay there again |

| Good Points: good homely feel |
| Further Comments: Wonderful, character hotel, pleasant help full staff. Great english breakfast. Position excellent, ideal for that short stay. Only downside, poor parking facilities. Although we were able to park directly outside, we had to use pay and display from 8am - 6pm even on Sunday. Perhaps the council could assist the hotel by providing them with parking permits for guests. This would remove the necessity to alight from bed to feed the meter at 8am. |

| Good Points: Convienient, friendly and quiet |
| Bad Points: Nothing of note although I would think parking could be a problem during the week. |
| Further Comments: I have nothing to add as I am familiar with both the hotel and the area as I have been a regular visitor to the island and spent almost all of my childhood in the Isle of Wight. |

| Further Comments: The proprietors were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the attic room, which slept two adults and two children very comfortably. My one (very small) complaint about the room would be the sachets of shower gel provided which were almost impossible to get into!
Parking was a little challenging: the onstreet parking outside the hotel was limited to two hours at a time, but there were a couple of long-stay carparks not far away, and you can obtain a tourist permit which allows you to stay in most island car parks for a fixed rate depending on how many days you are staying.
The hotel is very centrally located and over our three night stay we dined at pizza, Chinese and Indian restaurants all within easy walking distance. Several local restaurants offer a bill-back service so that the meal cost can be added to your hotel bill.
Overall, it was a great stay, and although the price struck us as rather high, it appears to be fairly representative of Isle of Wight hotel prices. |

| Good Points: Very clean and neat period accommodation |
| Further Comments: Period Hotel, very clean, staff extremely friendly and helpfull. Check in procedure fantastic and very flexible. Great breakfast.
We really enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in reccommending it.
May not suit those wanting ultra-modern accommodation, however if you are looking for a quiet and homely atmosphere this is the one for you. Also very convenient for the town and facilities and some great pubs and restuarants nearby.
Central location on the island a big plus for explorers |
