Good Points: Room was clear.
Bad Points: Housekeepers bothered me too much. I was out three hours so they had a time to clean my room but they wanted to clean when I came back.
Further Comments: Reception was not friendly on phone and in person. She did not answer on my question when I called in this hotel. Before I stayed in another hotels in Glasgow and got better service for less price.

Good Points: I thought they were very nice and the restaurant on site was excellent.
Bad Points: I thought it was a little far from the main part of the city and made it a little cumbersome to travel in and out of the heart of Glasgow.

Good Points: The Sutherland Restaurant was an unexpected gem of a surprise. World class cuisine in the ambience of a small hotel with a homey atmosphere make this an almost unique phenomenon.
Bad Points: My stay was too short, and it was for business. The wi-fi connection did not work properly.
Further Comments: I plan to return, with my wife, for a holiday visit to Scotland in the near future. we will definitely stay at the Argyll. What a delight. Though the Wi-fi connection did not work properly, the staff had an ethernet connection in the lobby which I was allowed to use gratis. The staff were unfailingly courteous and helpful. This is also one of the very few times when the hotel lives up to (and exceeds) the promotional information.

Good Points: Staff very helpful. Restaurant excellent and efficient. I needed an early continental breakfast. It arrived right on the specified time (6.00am)

Further Comments: Very good hotel with excellent restaurant. Conveniently situated between the University, Kelvin Grove and the city centre. Good flexibility for early breakfast delivered to room right on time. No problem parking

Bad Points: Temperature of room hot due to extreme weather conditions at the moment

Good Points: Proper bed pillows, relatively quiet, opening window. Room clean also smelt clean, (some hotels still have that musty smokey atmosphere, the Argyll didn't). I liked the provision of kettle, tea etc. hairdrier, two phones (one in bathroom) and much wardrobe and drawer space. I especially liked the breakfast, very tasty and a great choice plus excellent service and good fresh filter coffee. Dinner was good though the food could have been hotter.
Bad Points: The TV didn't work too well. It would be nice to have a small bottle of complimentary hair conditioner as well as the shampoo.
Further Comments: I enjoyed my stay and I slept very well in spite of the very hot weather at that time. The hotel is and feels friendly and is well docorated. The flowers at the entrance of the hotel are a nice touch too.

Bad Points: was bit out of city centre and quite old fashioned. also rediculous price for what we got
Further Comments: for people who are not too fussy. we thought it would have been closer to city centre. also quite noisy on saturday night due to pub next door. rooms old fashioned and is in definite need of a makeover from wallpaper and paint to carpets and curtains. it was just ok, but we would not stay again
