Good Points: Quiet, no noise from neighbours. Not too far from shops and seafront. Clean and tidy.
Bad Points: En suite quite cramped. Sash window rattled in wind.
Further Comments: The room itself was rather small and included the hand basin as the ensuite was so small. Staff were pleasant although no-one appeared at check-out when bell was rung. Full English breakfast should be renamed to small snack as one each of bacon sausage and egg smacked of rationing.

Good Points: Always a pleasant welcome and the service is superb. Nothing too much trouble.

Further Comments: Having stayed at the Granville Lodge on two previous occasions the overall standard of service remains excellent. Rooms have always been clean and comfortable and the location could not be better.

Good Points: The accommodation was excellent, clean, airy, well appointed. There was nothing wrong with anything.
Bad Points: Nothing
Further Comments: The hotel is well run and friendly, near to the beach and the town centre. Could not fault it.

Good Points: Location and ease of booking.
Bad Points: Some of the waiting staff were extremely rude and discourteous.
Further Comments: The accommodation was easy to book and find. The hotel was in a fantastic location for Scarborough centre. I visited in a same sex group and this seemed to cause some problem from the outset, some of the staff imediately assumed that we would be anti social and were extremely rude, often using foul language.

Good Points: Comfortable and welcoming
Further Comments: We enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again before the summer is over perhaps with our grandchildren for a couple of nights. Staff very nice and helpful. The only drawback was the late night noise from other guests - but not your fault! Won't put us off.

Good Points: Very central. Room was available at 12 noon.
Bad Points: Bit old fashioned! No honey to go with the porridge for breakfast. Shower room a bit small. Water went everywhere. Wash basin separate in room.
Further Comments: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good that room was available early. Kettle did not work but they provided another albeit too late to have a cup of tea in the afternoon! Breakfast was served and there was a choice between fruit, cereal or porridge (not able to have fruit and porridge}. Only white toast - no choice given. We thought it was ok but would not go back again!

Good Points: Was very near the Spa Complex where I attended the UK Accordion Championships
Bad Points: The Shower was cold.
Further Comments: The Hotel was very good, the staff were very friendly and helpful. the accomodation also was clean and could not be faulted, the breakfasts were excellent, but the shower was cold as I said,this should be remedied, apart from this everthing was fine.+

Further Comments: Typically British guesthouse - very traditional with average facilities, decor and service.

Good Points: The room was very clean and well-equipped. The view was delightful.
Bad Points: My room was next to the lift.
Further Comments: I would like to have known beforehand about the location of the room,as I was kept awake until 3 a.m. on the Saturday as other residents came back to their rooms via the lift. I could then have requested another room or a different hotel. However, the level of sevice otherwise was good.

Further Comments: The accommodation was clean and tidy, with the staff giving you a welcoming and comfortable stay. the meals were excellent and the entertainment was fab. My wife and i would definately stay here again.
