Good Points: Large clean bedroom with excellent facilities Good food at affordable prices
Bad Points: Paying extra for a superior room which ending up being at the front of the Hotel which is the where you get the road noise and revellers at the nearby Public Houses which went on until the early hours.
Further Comments: Would definitly stay at the Hotel again. But if paying for an upgrade would make sure that i got a quieter room if available.Other than that is was a most enjoyable stay.

Good Points: good size room, clean, good faciltities and efficient staff
Bad Points: the view and parking on the cresent
Further Comments: My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a wedding reception taking place at the Spa. When we arrived, we were dissapointed to see the car park was full, but they did give us a parking pass to park on The Cresent (there were just a few spaces left). The room was bigger than I'd imagined, and was clean and tidy, with good facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast good. Would recommend to others.

Good Points: Was clean and tidy and the room was a great size. Check in was quick and the hotel was happy to let us leave our car parked in the car park for a couple of hours after we checked out.
Bad Points: Breakfast service was quite slow and the staff seemed slightly under pressure. There was no 'setting the scene' ie 'help yourself to cereal', 'the breakfasts available are...' which would have been more helpful. Saying that the breakfast was lovely.
Further Comments: The hotel was in an excellent location and ideal for town centre and walking down to the front. Was impressed with how clean and fresh it was and the room size was great too. We were leaving the following day to stay in York for a night but would have happily stayed there for two nights and spent more time in Scarborough and the surrounding areas. Would definately stay there again.

Good Points: Nice room, clean, well decorated and spacious. Friendly restaurant and good food (free glass of wine helped). Helpful receptionist.
Bad Points: Too noisy - faced directly onto the main road. Double glazed but secondary double glazing would not close properly and so noise problem was not alleviated. No hot water for washing or showers (tepid was the best we could manage after a long wait). Heating not on in that part of hotel (though was elsewhere) but didn't want to run fan heater during the night.
Further Comments: Hotel well situated for town centre - theatre was primary reason for visit. Directions to the hotel could have been a bit clearer - the map pinpointing the hotel was wrong (it had the hotel marked on the other side of the crescent).

Good Points: large bedroom, light and airy. good food. young staff very helpful and friendly.
Bad Points: the lounge areas could be cosier and more relaxing.
Further Comments: the foyer was a little bare and not very welcoming, it would have been nice to have been escorted to our room and perhaps someone to carry our luggage. but we did enjoy our stay in this warm, quiet hotel.

Good Points: The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The half price offer in Marmalades Restaurant was too good to resist, a wonderful evening enjoying excellent food and wine at ridiculously reasonable prices!
Bad Points: Following our short stay we cannot think of any areas requiring improvement.
Further Comments: The hotel was in a good location with ample off road car parking. The rooms were of above average size and pleasantly furnished and decorated and spotlessly clean. We dined in the Marmalade restaurant and found the menu to contain a wide variety of dishes, the meal itself was cooked to perfection and well presented. The waitress could not be faulted for her attention to detail. Overall, a good time was had by all and we would not hesitate to return, hopefully for a longer stay next time.

Good Points: Excellent value for money hotel. Good food. Always use this hotel when visiting Scarborough
| Bad Points: Parking outside or near to the hotel is a bit restrictive.
The main hotel bar for guests lacks atmosphere. The decor for the reception area is a bit dingy. |
| Further Comments: Very spacious, clean and well-equipped rooms with high standard furnishings.
Take care when using the in-bath shower units as the small glass shower screens can mean that the bathroom floor can flood with water.
I have stayed in this hotel on 5 previous occasions and after each stay, I leave happy |

Good Points: Room was excellent. Very large and well furnished. Surprised no double glazing, some noise at night, especially as could not close the bathroom window
Bad Points: Parking a bit cramped and was worried swinging spiked chains marking border of parking could have damaged car if swung by passers by.
Further Comments: Food [pre theatre], 2 for 1 was good value, although did not quite live up to it's hype.

Further Comments: Although it was quite expensive, the stay was very good and the breakfast was excellent with a good choice. My room had air con which was very good as it was quite hot on the first few days I was there.
