Good Points: Staff were very friendly. Food was good, my son stated his meal, the `duck`, was amazing. Lovely bar and patio area.
Bad Points: The room was very hot and very noisy being by a main road. We had vey little sleep. The shower in our room failed to work.
Further Comments: Previous reviews had commented on the noise but it was worse than expected. This is a pity as the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and fresh I would recommned the food in the evening but not the overnight stay if it is always this noisy.

Good Points: Old and quirky, lots of character, but modern facilities.
Bad Points: Definitely parking, although it wasn't too bad.
Further Comments: I wish I had known there was no hotel car park, but we wouldn't let it spoil our stay. The hotel was placed really well for a short stay being very handy for town and all facilities, we had a lovely time.

Good Points: Lovely, olde world building. Liked the picturesque way the floors sloped. Rooms were nicely decorated and furnished. Lovely bar terrace.
Bad Points: Room overlooked a main road, so some sort of noise reduction could be useful.
Further Comments: Location of a car park would have been helpful.

Good Points: location and food
Bad Points: Car parking facility, also more knowledge of local events that include closure of roads and for how long
Further Comments: I would have like to know where to park and how to get to the hotel easily from the parking area.

Good Points: Full of character and old world charm. Food at Dinner and lunch was superb.
Bad Points: The breakfast was poor compared to the other meals we took in the hotel . The Bathroom needs some attention.
Further Comments: The hotel has a great wine Bar and Patio with superb food . The room are of old world charm but on a hot summer night it was stuffy and noisy with the window open in middle of town - but not their fault really. Our room was a little disappointing and not up to standard of pictures I felt.

Good Points: Excellent food, excellent atmosphere
Further Comments: I stay regulalry in SHrewsbury, but as BT employee I have to stay in aa BT approved hotel. I was able to bypass this last time due to approved hotels in SHerwsbury being full. If Cromwells could gain approved status I would choose it in future.

Good Points: Very clean, comfortable and we liked having the restaurant on the premises. Staff very friendly
Bad Points: Perhaps a notice of some kind as to how the check-in process works. This hotel has no reception counter, which is fine, but we didn't know to inquire at the bar to check-in. A sign in the entryway would be helpful.
Further Comments: We were only overnight but found the hotel to be a pleasant place to stay. Very centrally located for walking around the town. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room quite nice.

Good Points: location
Bad Points: Unfortunately during our stay the hotel was short staffed and so the bar and restaurant was shut in the day. This was unfortunate but I think it would have been better would these have been open. Also - the bed was very squeeky.
Further Comments: It would have been good if a picture of the newly refurbished rooms had been posted on the website to set expectations.
