| Further Comments: On arrival at the hotel we found the room was not ready although the check in time was advertised as 3pm. We were told to wait in the bar until the room was ready (about 4pm) We then got to the room (after being given wrong room no) which had a ghastly window view of some building materials (there is a sign @ reception stating refurbishment is ongoing) I then asked to change rooms which we did. The second room was much better but there was no iron, tv remote or shower head in bathroom (most annoying when you come to shower the next morning!)
Things were put right after asking but annoying nevertheless. Twice The key card did not work when we returned from a day's outings. Once we returned @ 4.30pm to find the room had not been cleaned. On the Friday the toilet stopped working! Most inconvenient but fixed within 2-3 hours! The restaurant was pleasant enough although we were served the wrong starter and the waits for food were long. We noticed a lot of customers complaining about this. Most of the staff were helpful and polite to guests, however on a couple of occasions some staff members appeared to 'argue' in front of us, which suprised us and looked unprofessional. |

| Good Points: Even though it is on the seafront it is still very quiet, staff were always helpful and curteous. The food was fantastic, I never dined in the restaurant, but what was brought to my room was beautifully presented and tasted as nice as it looked. |
| Bad Points: I understand that they had just had a major renovation, but it would have made my stay more comfortable if the air conditioning had been working. The bar patio area looked as though it needed a complete overhaul, the tiles were all cracked and the fountain was leaking. I only hope that this section is next on their list to be revamped. |
| Further Comments: The information that was provided when I booked the hotel was very accurate, so I had more or less no little surprises. It did mention the hotel was undergoing a major renovation process, so I wasn't surprised when the air conditioning didn't work. The bar patio area really needs some attention,(cracked tiles, leaking fountain). There is such a beautiful view, but when you look around you on the patio... Overall, I had a pleasant stay, there were just a few issues when it came to booking out, but other than that it was a nice hotel. |

Parking Was a nightmare, had to use a multi story a 5 min walk away. Could be an issue if people have more luggage for just a n overnight stay. |

| Good Points: Good location, handy for sea, Pier, Lanes. Bed was nice and large but then it was two beds pushed together and the gap between the matrasses did increase slightly in the night but not diasterous! |
| Bad Points: Holiday Inn is looking a bit worn, crack markes in basin, lacquer off table, style is getting dated, underground garage a bit grim, very tight and foot entrance a bit industrial No info on the area or map in the room, would have been useful. Mattress was quite hard. No extra blanket in room, actually it was not a problem but it is sometimes useful. |
| Further Comments: We did not book a sea view, but when checked in was told there was, oh thats nice, but in order to see the sea you had to stick your neck out of the window look sideways over the aircon tube and firee scape and could just see a little bit, it was not a problem really as only ther one night! just amusing. The receptionist was keen to please |
