Good Points: Low cost and comforable. Very unpretentious.
Further Comments: Very good value. I will be staying in Glasgow on a weekly basis for a number of months. I will always try to get in here before trying anywhere else.

Good Points: Friendly helpful staff. good choice at breakfast. good location
Bad Points: Bed and room. no soap in room
Further Comments: Staff very friendly and helpful. Good choice at breakfast. Bedroom decor clean but looked dated. double bed standard - would personally have liked a bigger bed! those less able may find the incline on approaching street too much. However, would recommend this hotel for its close location to centre, staff and value breakfast.

Good Points: central, friendly staff, quiet location
Bad Points: nothing to actively dislike
Further Comments: Room very basic. Room and hall could have done with a coat of paint. Mattress needed renewed. But - clean and tidy, good breakfast, staff helpful, good location. Would recommend because clean and central. OK for a woman on her own too.

Good Points: Very good value
Bad Points: Breakfast was disorganised - it was counter-service, and we were told it was served until 8.30, but it turned out that the serving staff stopped preparing fresh food at 8.00, so all that was left after that time was left-overs. The staff were very brusque with anyone in this position, leading to a lot of disgruntled comments at the tables.
Further Comments: The webpages for the hotel made it out to be a 'nice' B&B, but if that's what you're hoping for you'll be disappointed. If you go expecting a good value-for-money hotel, with weaker service standards, this hotel will fit the bill. There's nothing very wrong with it, it's just not lovable!

|
Good Points: It was nice and quiet
Bad Points: The rooms are bare of decoration. A range of toiletries e.g. shower gel would be appreciated. The welcome tray was very basic - no biscuits.
Further Comments: The hotel was very handy for Glasgow centre, for the Concert Hall and for the Glasgow School of Art which is well worth a visit. Breakfast was really substantial and in pleasant surroundings. I didn't find the steep flight of steps up to Reception a problem but some people might have real difficulty.
