Further Comments: I found the staff of the hotel very helpful room information useful and the bathroom was newly refurbished. The hotel was near the city centre in an apparently upmarket part of town

Good Points: the room was reasably good and seemed comfortable, however banging noises from the nearby area kept bothering me during evening. the staff was helpful and cooperative
Bad Points: i think the reception area and the enterance can be further improved, as it gave very shabby look.
Further Comments: if there was a snapshot video clip of what the hotel and rooms look like, it would be helpful.

Good Points: l'ospitalita'
Bad Points: sicuramente il cibo. la doccia era spesso fredda.
Further Comments: l'albergo e' un tipico albergo inglese, molto simile ad un ostello, camere raccolte con moquette dappertutto. pero' c'e' tutto quello che serve per un soggiorno all'estero. (es: non pensate di mangiare negli orari che volete voi, ne quello che vi piace)

Good Points: The bath was good. Close enough to the Jesmond West metro and other than the party nights, it seems to be a nice quiet street.
Bad Points: Decor was a bit old and the TV didn't have a remote control. Had to turn the channel by hand on the TV.
Further Comments: Good overall location but layout and decor of hotel was a bit older than what I had expected. Italian restaurant down the road was actually quite good.

Further Comments: hotel is clean and comfortable and is well placed for seeing newcastle or In my case visiting my daughter at the university. The only real problem I had was that there was no one on reception when i booked in. This was compensated by the frendly and helpful member of staff from the kitchen who went out of his way to sort things out and arrange an alternative room even though I was quite early.

Good Points: The hotel was conveniently situated for access to the city centre and for us to visit our family and friends. Adequate parking on site.
Bad Points: Noisy and overheated. and the general run-down appearance.
Further Comments: Despite having requested a quiet room we were put in a front facing room opposite a student residence. Taxis arrived frquently in the early hours bringing carousing students back. The heating control on the radiator was detached and it was impossible to turn it down. As we were staying for four nights, on the following morning we asked to change rooms, and were given a back facing room which was quieter and with an adjustable radiator. The finish and fittings generally were poor and ill-matched. The maids were very helpful and polite and looked after us well.

Bad Points: Noisy room, smelly corridors and stairs (smoke, fry up, toilets), no control for heater, on the main busy road, hearing noises from rooms above, stained towels
Further Comments: Good location and friendly staff. However the general state of the place is quite low (smelly corridors and stairs, stains), and the rooms are very badly insulated from each other (clearly hear the next door arguments and people above walking through the room). There is no control of the heating and our room was facing a main road above a pub, with its inherent noises as a balance for the unbearable heat. And finally towels provided were clean but with stains. My own experience and I hope that other's were better.

Good Points: The hotel was excellent value for money,the bar area was lively and the food was good.
Bad Points: The room needed a few finishing touches, you could tell it had been modernised but jobs were left unfinished.
Further Comments: The hotel was excellent value for money. The rooms were clean and warm, the bathroom was modern and the food was good. The bar was very lively in the evenings and good for younger people, as it is situated in a student area. Situated along the same road were other lively bars and Newcastle centre was about 5 minutes away in a taxi.

Good Points: convenient central location in a nice area
Bad Points: stairs and corridors were very shabby - as were some aspects of the room. But the room was very clean.
Further Comments: The hotel offered reasonable value and is fine for an overnight stay.

Good Points: It was on the major bus route into town, very accessable, in a very nice area.
Bad Points: Alittle bit on the noise side on an evening
Further Comments: The Whites hotel was very nice, clean and tidy. It is in a good location with a bus stop right outside the front enterance. The breakfast area was very clean and well presented the staff was very helpful, and i liked the carpark.
