Good Points: competitive price. central location
Bad Points: needs facelift, carpets treadbare in places
Further Comments: adequate accomodation. lively atmosphere. staff helpful and friendly

Good Points: Reception/ manager was excellent, really helpfull and friendly.
Bad Points: My Room was very smokey, also general hotel could do with a spring clean
Further Comments: It was a pleasent stay, nothing special but done the job.

Good Points: It was very local to the metro and to where we were visiting our relatives.
Bad Points: Floors very uneven and creadky
Further Comments: We have stayed at White's previously over the past 4 years due to visiting relatives. We find the local very good for us, but do find the steep stairs and uneven floors to be off putting.

Good Points: Location was good.
Bad Points: Quite noisy as hotel has outside terrace.Originally asked for quiet room as I expected it to be noisy at the front. The room was very small however so a room change to a bigger room meant being at the front.Room a bit tatty but clean in the main.
Further Comments: A good location but hotel needs a refurb'.Breakfast average.Can be noisy.

Further Comments: Booked a single room, the room I got looked worn and hadn't been fixed up for years. The telephone didn't work and the toilet had a suspiciously high water level. In the morning I asked that these thing be looked into. Upon my return that afternoon, I was told that the telephone could not be fixed and I could change rooms. After inspection of that single, I asked reception if all the rooms in the hotel were that bad. I said that I was looking for an hotel I could stay at regularly when in the area, and after some doing was given a nice double room. There I enjoyed the 3 remaining nights of my stay.

Good Points: Convenience, peaceful.
Bad Points: Pathetic service, indifferent staff, unhelpful.
Further Comments: From day one, there was no tel control unit, despite request for a replacement the girl at reception said it was broken. I replied, no ,it only required a new battery. They didnt have any so I asked her to check other un occupied rooms which she did, but none of them had any tv controls so we gave up. Altogether the service was pathetic and I would never set foot in this hotel again.

Good Points: The location
Bad Points: The room facilities were in a poor state. The glass shower door was hanging off and dangerous, the window handles has been broken off, neither the iron nor the hairdryer worked. The bathroom door had had a hole punched in it.
Further Comments: It was cheap enough for what we needed but the bedroom was a bit run-down and I guess it suffers from catering to groups of hen or stag parties. The breakfast room is basically the bar area i,e beer tables with stools etc. They don't serve toast with breakfast either.

Good Points: A good value for money hotel very convenient to enjoy Jesmond and only a short walk to the city centre.
Bad Points: Car parking can be difficult
Further Comments: I enjoyed staying at Whites, my room was pleasant and all room services were good.I liked the fact that the hotel includes a very popular and lively bar, though this may not appeal to all. I shall use this hotel on future occasions.

Good Points: It was very clean, check in was quick, efficient and pleasant. Late night entry was effected eaasily
Further Comments: I simply used the hotel to crash in after a night on the town. I was surprised by the cleanliness of the bathrooms which is one thing i have always found to be lacking in hotels but no issues here. Beds were OK, linen was clean and fresh. I will certainly use you again rather than risk losing my licence

Good Points: Reasonably priced, clean , well equipped rooms, good service
Bad Points: The decorating generally was a little dated and untidy.
Further Comments: The hotel is clean, well equipped, tidy and the staff are excellent. We didn't order breakfast but were given it for free. The shower room is a little cramped but adequate and if only staying one or two nights is perfectly fine. The furniture in the room is of a good standard The staff were very helpful, I will be staying here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Good Points: Low cost, helpful staff, clean and comfortable.
Bad Points: Decor rather shabby, quite a big hotel so lots of people around during the night.
Further Comments: This hotel was excellent value for money. I booked a single room at ￂﾣ36 and was upgraded to a double at no extra cost, so that the hotel could accommodate my early check-in request. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. At first appearance the hotel is rather shabby, but for a bargain short-stay it's ideal. Also, good breakfast and a nicely decorated bar.
