Good Points: Great food in the pub, great facilities and clean, comfortable room
Bad Points: Paper thin walls so we could hear the conversations of our neighbours! Also, bathrooms need updating
Further Comments: From staying in other Village hotels, we like the fact that we know what we will be getting which is a great room with the added bonus of leisure facilities if required. It stated on the Active Hotels website that check in was at 2pm but when we arrived we were greeted by a gentleman with Hi, you can't check in til after 3! which was not a very nice welcome. No apology and not even said in a friendly way. When you have travelled for quite a few hours a friendlier welcome would have been nice! So make sure to check the correct check in/out times before booking!

Good Points: Good value hotel
Further Comments: Very good value for money,whilst I did not make use of the gym and leisure centre,it was certainly a good addition.

Good Points: Overall not bad, I have stayed here before a few times and I must say that my overall experience this time was not as good.
Bad Points: The food in the pub has gone up in price and the quality has gone down. Staff not that friendly except the girl at breakfast. The breakfast was very over cooked and had that feeling that it had been hanging around a while.
Further Comments: I'll probably stay here again but with lower expectations. When I first stayed the hotel had only been open a few months and the staff were efficient and attentive. Now every thing seems to be falling in line with the paint on my window sill, tired and peeling!!

Good Points: The fan in the bedroom was appreciated as it was very warm weather. The room was very quiet (when the fan was not on!) and appreciate having a bath as well as a shower in the ensuite bathroom
Bad Points: The fan in the room was very necessary - but unfortunately very noisy. A quieter solution would be great.
Further Comments: The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. I personally did not use the leisure facilities, but my daughter and partner who were staying at the same time did and really enjoyed that - a definite bonus for this hotel. We ate in the Verve grill on the first evening and found the food a little disappointing - limited choice and a bit unimaginative - but the food was well cooked and presented.

Further Comments: RESTAURANT STAFF WERE NOT HELPFULL AND APPEARED QUITE SURLY. WHEN CHECKING OUT WE WERE NOT ASKED HOW THE STAY HAD BEEN AND HAD WE ANY CONCERNS. WHEN WE BOOKED WE WERE NOT TOLD OF A TAKE THAT TRIBUTE BAND WOULD BE PLAYING OUTSIDE OUR ROOM UNTIL THE EARLY HOURS,WE ASKED IF WE COULD ATTEND AND WERE REFUSED

Bad Points: The fact that a complimentary paper was offered so I ordered the Mail then I was asked to pay for it on leaving and was told that the complimentary newspaper was the Independant!

Further Comments: The overall quality of the hotel is excellent however silly things let it down two false fire alarms at 3.00 am not good breakfast not ready as fire alarm had shut gas off. Resturant very good food

Further Comments: we would have liked to have the option of a room with a view and if the weather was any warmer it would benefit from airconditioning or at least a fan. Overall we had a very pleasant stay enjoying the pool and spa etc. the food was very good and the staff were very accomodating

Further Comments: Very pleasant hotel. Bright and airy and clean. Rooms a good size and very well maintained. Staff approachable and efficient/professional. Great swimming pool.
