Good Points: It was clean
Bad Points: A bit dated and worn.
Further Comments: The room was comfortable and clean Breakfast was slightly disapointing as the juice, beans and eggs ran out, and while we were in breakfast was not topped up.Also Coffee would be better if it was self service. But we still enjoyed the evening.

Good Points: The smoking rooms were stinking of smoke and I had to request another non smoking room which was fine. You need to improve air extraction in smoking rooms
Bad Points: There is no need to have 5 televisions playing in the restaurant, sometimes on different channels. It looked as if the facility was there for the staff's benefit - not a customer need
Further Comments: Reception staff were helpful - restaurant staff not focused on the customer - food was good I think your tarrif is too high for room only for a hotel adjacent to the M1

Good Points: The hotel is a reasonable standard and reasonable value for money. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms are a decent size and comfortable. The hotel was clean and tidy and I would stay there again.
Bad Points: The bathrooms could do with a bit of an update but overall not a problem as the rooms were clean and tidy.
Further Comments: Clean and tidy hotel and friendly staff. One that I would use again when in the area.

Good Points: the hotel is ideally located close to both the m1 and the a1.
Bad Points: The check in lady was unnecessarily rude - although we had arranged an early check in she greeted us by saying check is not until 2 - no hello, how are you or anything! On the Friday night the hotel was smoky and very noisy as there was a function on. The rooms although clean are in need of a refurb - the bathroom is very dated and this makes it feel unclean.
Further Comments: This hotel is great is you are looking for a budget basic hotel. Our bedroom was generally clean but it felt grubby due to needing a bit of an update. The room was also too hot. The hotel is also smoking - and during our stay we had to walk through a very smoky reception and lounge area to our room which wasn't pleasant. The hotel is also located very near to the M1 and the A1 which was ideal for our visit. If you are looking for a 3* hotel with a bit more luxury then I wouldn't stay here. A disappointing experience after having previously stayed at great Ramada Jarvis hotels.

Good Points: location - close to family
Bad Points: make sure the room appliances (alarm clock) and plumbing (toilet flush) works and the mold is cleaned off the bath and shower
| Further Comments: the staff worked hard to overcome the problems I faced, but the overall quality of the rooms was poor.
the breakfast provided with the room was excellent and the staff courteous and friendly |

Good Points: Staff were good
Bad Points: Hotel has delusions of grandeur. Very expensive for food and drink. Security poor.
| Further Comments: Very savage restaurant manageress on duty on Saturday night. Most off putting. Sack her, she's not doing you any favours.
CCTV system doesn't cover the whole of the car park and is poor quality - I had my car broken into and the CCTV is a waste of space. Save money on energy and switch it off or get a decent system.
Room was tatty and needed re-decorating. Bathroom was a disaster. |
