Good Points: Plenty of space.
Bad Points: Non-smoking room was not allocated. Residual smokers' atmosphere was unacceptable. Heating in room was excessive.
Further Comments: I had stayed at this hotel on previous occasions and was satisfied with what I knew to be available.

Good Points: the overall impression of the hotel was very homely and welcoming,it felt like everything was there if needed,we stayed in the hotel and ate it was wonderful, staff were very obliging.
Bad Points: the only thing i didnt like was the surrounding closed down buildings it was a shame, to make the lovely dinning room chandeliers stand out the drabness of next door spoil t it the front.
Further Comments: the position was nice and we were able to park car outside, i thought everything was very professional as you would expect in a hotel.lovely food and nice staff.i loved the chandeliers in the dinning room they were amazing.

Good Points: Location was nice for the waterfront at Southsea.
Bad Points: Parking was horrendous.
Further Comments: From the description as newly renovated in 2003, the hotel looked tired and old. As a result my expectations were high for this quality

Good Points: The rooms were very comfortable with everything one needed for the night.
Bad Points: We were put on the 4th floor without being asked if we wanted smoking rooms and the room was extremely hot.

Good Points: Room was good with spacious bathroom and the restaurant with it's cavery was good value: We found it ideal as a overnight stopover before cacthing the channell ferry to France
Bad Points: Car parking is inadequqte and very cramped
Further Comments: Enjoyable stay generally everything was OK only problem was finding it from the motorway and the poor car parking
