Good Points: The service was friendly, the price was good. My daughter and I enjoyed the food and facilities that the hotel offered.
Bad Points: The heat, it was very hot inside the hotel.
Further Comments: Both my daughter and I where very happy with the facilities that The Crown Hotel offered. We thought it was good value for the money. And we're happy to recommend it to our friends!

Good Points: I felt that the hotel was excellent value for money, it was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The car park was also free, which was good.
Bad Points: It was a little basic and unfinished, however considering the price, this was not an issue as such. It was also a little difficult to find, however this may have been due to my navigator...!
Further Comments: Overall we were happy with our stay. As stated above, the hotel was rather basic, however this suited us as we were only in the room in the evenings of our stay. The staff were on hand to answer any questions, and they were happy for us to leave the car in the car park while we went to do some shopping after we'd checked out. We had a few problems finding the place, but I think that was more to do with our mapreading than the directions.

Good Points: Quick check in and out, parking availability.
Bad Points: Unable to turn off the radiator in room, bathroom was a bit dated, uncomfortable bed, squeaky floorboards!
Further Comments: No information given regarding breakfast when checking in and no leaflet or information within the room to give times. Unable to turn off the radiator and on a busy road so could not keep the window open for the night and was difficult to sleep on a bed that dips in the middle. Floorboards were noisy from above and outside the room and in the room.

Good Points: All the staff were$$ very friendly and welcoming, also they were very helpful.
Further Comments: The Crown Hotel was a pleasant place to stay, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room me and my girlfriend stayed in was nice and was clean, could do with re-decorating but other than that our stay was really pleasant and we couldn't fault the place. One night we had a meal in the hotel's restaurant which was really nice and really good value for money. If I were to be in the area again then I would definitely stay there again.

Good Points: Cheap to stay
Bad Points: No hot water in first room, so had to move to another room. Second room had very poor quality TV, no kettle (had to take the one from previous room!) and very lumpy matress. Holes in the wall and very creeky floorboards. Poor nights sleep and couldn't be bothered to complain again.
Further Comments: Very basic facilities, but considering the price paid, this was to be expected. Generally quite a poor stay in our opinion though and would not consider staying here again. Unimpressive continental breakfast. The staff were polite, friendly and generally helpful.

Good Points: The price and the friendliness and helpfulness of reception staff
Bad Points: Quite basic and not located in the best area.
Further Comments: All I can say is we got what we paid for. It was cheap and close to Alton Towers which was exactly what we wanted but it was very basic although this does reflect in the price. Was fine for our needs.

Good Points: Very near to ammenities and to alton towers
Bad Points: decor very dated but apart from that hotel was up to standard
Further Comments: My fiancee and i had a lovley time staying at the crown it is very near to all attractions like alton towers which is why we booked the hotel and if we were to go again we would be booking the crown hotel.

Good Points: It was clean though rather basic but what do you expect for the money.
Bad Points: The breakfast was poor even thought it was just a continental.
Further Comments: The fact that the bar and restaurant were both shut due to a wedding and the wedding disco kept us awake until after midnight. I would have appreciated being informed of the wedding reception being held there as I would have found alternative accomodation as my daughter was in a swimming competition and she needed her sleep.

Good Points: Easy access to M6
Bad Points: My room was above the bar area and I could hear everything going on in the bar. Guests were noisy coming back from the bar area disturbing sleep.
Further Comments: As a stopover for one night, this hotel is perfect as it is close to M6 and is really cheep, but would not stay any longer than that. I would say that the continental breakfast was the best part of staying at the hotel, plus the staff are extremelly helpfull.
