Ramada Glasgow City near Glasgow: Glasgow Hotels

Good Points: Hotel was clean and the staff were nice.
Bad Points: Very small rooms. Building work next door was very noisy.

Further Comments: The Hotel is in a great location for touring the city and all it has to offer. The rooms are very nice and well equipped. The Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. All in all it is excellent value for money and I would highly reccomend the Ramada Glasgow.

Good Points: The room was very nice, modern and clean.
Bad Points: I was staying at the front of the hotel, if I was staying in future I would ensure a room to the rear of the hotel.
Further Comments: I have stayed at this hotel before and all the staff were very helpful and pleasant, however, on this occassion on the night I booked in I found the reception not too pleasant. In saying that in the morning I checked out it was back to normal with friendly staff. Just one point on both of my stays the shower is of very poor quality i.e. the power of the water is very poor.

Bad Points: The hotel room was very tiny, I considered it too small for a single let alone a double and was airless, I had to leave the room on several occassions and step outside for air. Shower had absolutely no pressure and as a person with mid length hair found it difficult to get it all rinsed.
Further Comments: Check-in and out was appalling, staff were dreadfully slow and seemed to not care that we had a train to catch.

Good Points: LOVED THE FACT HOTEL WAS CENTRAL - NEAR GEORGE SQUARE AND CITY CENTRE
Bad Points: ROOM WAS SMALL BUT IT WAS ONLY FOR ONE NIGHT - NON SMOKING ROOM WHICH STUNK OF SMOKE
Further Comments: GREAT FOR WEEKEND STAY - OUR ROOM WAS SMALL OK FOR SHORT STAY - SHOWER WAS POWERFUL - BEDLINEN IMMACULATE

Good Points: The receptionist was friendly and extremely helpful
Bad Points: the bedroom was facing a brick wall and over an air conditioning plant or generator that throbbed all night, the bathroom was desparately in need of renovating with black mildew all around the bath area and grouting was falling away, in fact new bathroom would be the solution
Further Comments: The breakfast was particularly greasy and the coffee was an instant version kept hot in a thermos. oh dear; at the price I paid I would expect freshly made ground coffee

Good Points: The Staff were very helpful & spent a lot of time sorting the best resturant for a night out
Bad Points: Hotel is being refurbished and it does need it!
Further Comments: The Hotel is undergoing refurbishment and it does need it. However the Staff were wonderful & location great. Give it a go!

Further Comments: The hotel is good value for the location, but standards seem to have dropped since my last visit. Cleanliness poor, food not so good.

Good Points: Good facilities at a very reasonable price given the location, which was perfor me.
Bad Points: TV system slow and cumbersome. Braekfast was a bit dry.
Further Comments: A good room with good facilities and the room service meal that I had was excellent, all at a very reasonable price for the location.

Bad Points: Dated, tatty, very small, very expensive breakfast (add-on)
Further Comments: Typical of a city centre large chain hotel. Poor maintenance, general wear and tear in barthroom, dated decor. Certainly not worth full price, but OK for what I paid thro' Active Hotel

Further Comments: The price of the breakfast was not explained, and was quite expensive. I think I was quoted ￂﾣ6.50 on the net when booking but the actual price on paying the bill was ￂﾣ23.33 for 2 of us per day. The brakfast however was lovely. The room was too hot and I think it would put me off staying again. We did enjoy the City though and again the staff were very helpful and friendly.
