Good Points: comfortable, attractively furnished, friendly & helpful staff
Bad Points: Pillows rather harder than we would have preferred
Further Comments: A friendly, efficiently run and very comfortable hotel, with choice of good restaurants nearby [including 44 the Calls where we had an excellent meal]. Close to centre of Leeds and principle shopping centre.

Good Points: character of the building and individual stye of teh rooms. Locations v unique and quiet-in the city centre but on a river!
Bad Points: Room service food quality was not good. Some of the staff at desk seemed inexperienced and off hand
Further Comments: over all hotel was v good. Comfortable beds and crisps cotton duvet covers with lovelly soft duvets. Lovely rooms and en suites. Great location. Parking a bit of a pain. had to find a parking spot with a park and display coupon. Valet parking was v steep at GPD 11-00! breakfast was v good quality and a bit different-lovley peaceful breakfast room. Would stay again.

Good Points: Beautiful and sensitive conversion of an old riverside corn mill into a small and perfectly formed boutique hotel.
Further Comments: 42 The Calls is a beautiful small boutique hotel right in the city centre of Leeds, but in a quiet location by the river. Ask for a room with river view if possible. The rooms are comfortable and warm. The hotel does not serve dinner but there is a small room service menu, and there is a good buffet breakfast in the River Room.

Good Points: Hotel was small and individual and the room, although small was unusual with a nice big bathroom.
Bad Points: Could have made more of a feature of the bathroom with a bigger bath or nice shower cubicle.
Further Comments: Staff were very good and helpful, the hotel was small but very individual. Bed was very comfortable, didn't want to get up! Breakfast was lovely, never seen such a wide choice of sausages available! Only down side was that I could not find anything on the hotel website about the parking arrangments which were off site valet parking with a separate charge -I would have liked to have known this in advance.

Good Points: The location was great with a room backing onto the river. The service and attitude from the staff was faultless. Would definately recommend staying at this hotel.
Bad Points: The double bed was actually 2 single beds pushed together which was a bit uncomfortable to sleep on, suddenly disappearing down the split in the middle! My tv also made a weird and slightly worrying electrical clicking/buzzing. Apart from that, nothing to complain about.
Further Comments: Excellent location, excellent service, excellent attitude. Stay here!

Good Points: Nice sized room with good view Friendly efficient staff Good facilities in room
Bad Points: Nothing
Further Comments: The accommodation was unique - not the normal run of the mill corporate hotel. It had plenty of character and was small, friendly and well placed for visiting the city centre. Our room was of a good size and had above average facilities such as DVD/CD player, complementary tea and coffee and bathrobes. There was a lovely view of the river from the bedroom window. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful.

Good Points: The rooms are very attractive. Excellent bed and duvets. Very stylish decor.
Bad Points: Lighting too dim in the bedrooms.
Further Comments: We know this hotel as we used to make regular visits to Leeds. We are pleased to say that we still like it very much. The rooms are very attractive with interesting furnishings and prints. Excellent housekeeping service. Lovely big bath towels and good robes. Excellent breakfast, freshly cooked. Very helpful staff. Conveniently situated as only five minutes walk from all the shops.

Good Points: The hotel is ideally situated to those - like us - who were visiting Leeds for Christmas shopping. In a quiet corner of the city, yet surrounded by excellent restaurants, it provided a quiet haven to return to at the end of a busy day. Bedroom and bathroom were beautifully appointed with excellent amenities.
Bad Points: Staff on reception were friendly but could have been a little more efficient.
Further Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and in Leeds. The 'boutique' atmosphere of the hotel enabled us to relax and unwind, and the choice and proximity of good restaurants added to our enjoyment. In particular we found our bedroom and most importantly the beds to be really comfortable, affording us excellent nights sleep! Some spa treatments would have been an ideal part of our break, and information on availability in the area would have been useful. The hotel's location makes it ideal for anyone visiting the City Centre.

Good Points: Very comfortable, stylish, fine outlook over River Aire.
Further Comments: For a hotel so close to the city centre it proved surprisingly quiet yet was withing walking distance of several decent restaurants. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. Having travelled from Berkshire to arrive and be met withe a glass of wine and valet parking was a real treat.

The staff were just as execllent as they made their up most effort to find us a lovely place to stay. We had a lovely expericance with the room, staff and the trip on a whole.
Further Comments: I can truthfully say that i do not know in any way in which the hotel can improve. As i have stated above the hotel was a wonderful experiance with both exellent staff and accodmation and i just hope i can get the chance to stay again

Good Points: The design of the hotel is quite astounding. It does have a feel of a converted mill, from which it came, but the feel is al good. The rooms are fabulously laid out with enough room to do verything we wanted to do and more. The beds were lovely and confortable, more the size of a swimming pool than a bed o be honest. Staff were very freindly and helpful both on the way in and on the way out. We only stoped the one night to go to the exquist restaurant Poole Court which is just along the road and the hotel just topped off the night perfectly.
Bad Points: The one and only problem I found was with a room facing the canal there didnt seem to be enoughsoundproofing. You could hear people coming up and down as well as the usual weekend drunks with the volume control turn up to 11 all night long. Kept me awake to be honest.
Further Comments: The place made us feel very welcome indeed and it was a great looking room. Although a bit on the pricey side I think I would stay again, after all you get what you pay for in todays world. THe directors suite was a great choice and breakfast was fabulous. A choice of good continental or any 2 out of a selection of sausages. An all round splendid and memorable experience ... a quick thanks and big hug to the big hairy cuddley gentleman who treated me to it :)
