Good Points: Good central location
Bad Points: We were promised a wake up call, which didn't happen! This was worrying as we had an early appointment and needs to be reviewed.
Further Comments: Good location within easy reach of Leeds centre, and positioned within a shopping precinct. Some industrial plant noise at the rear with continual low humming sound throughout the night could cause disturbance to those used to quiet locations, but overall a pleasantly presented hotel with courteous staff.

Good Points: the bath facilities, decor, fresh fruit
Bad Points: I was kept waiting when checking out, the receptionist even served another customer over me. The complimentary biscuits had also been eaten and the wrapper left in the drinks drawer. The bed matteress could do with replacing. Room 305

Good Points: Nothing.
Bad Points: Reception staff are in need of training. Overall cleanliness of the hotel and rooms in particular.
Further Comments: When receptionist said if any problems please call from the room, it may have been of some help to atcually have a phone in room. The room was dirty and in need of repair. The dinner was of an okay standard, the room service breakfast was the worst in any hotel I have ever stayed at. And I work in one!!!

Good Points: Good sized rooms
Bad Points: Restaurant overpriced
Further Comments: A pleasant, clean city centre hotel with helpful and courteous staff. The arrangement with the connected car park is extremely useful and great value for money. Pricing for meals in the restaurant appeared to be excessive for what was on offer (sausages, mash and gravy ᆪ12.00). However, breakfsat was good value for money and not the usual buffet style. Its nice to see some service these days.

Good Points: Clean, smart and tidy
Bad Points: Our room overlooked the rear of the hotel, where possibly the airconditioning units were sited, however, there was a constant humming that sounded rather like a motor running.

Good Points: Pleasantly old-fashioned, with traditional decor, and some lovely wood features. The food was excellent.
Bad Points: Replace, or at least service some of the double-glazing which is ill-fitting.
Further Comments: If you want a fairly central location, this is it. If you want a quiet location, this is not the hotel for you. The surrounding raods are busy - and noisy.

Good Points: The accommodation was adequate but nothing special
Bad Points: Customer care
Further Comments: At ᆪ80.00 per night including dinner, a bottle of house wine, bed and breakfast, the hotel was good value for money. However, the room cleanliness was below average - bedspread appeared to be grubby with makeup stains on, and there was no underblanket beneath the sheet-just the mattress. The bed itself was very low to the floor and there was no headboard, just a large gap behind the bed looking down to bare floor. The evening meal was beautifully prepared and excellent quality, however this was let down by the food not being hot enough and the waitress who served us didn't have a clue about restaurant etiquette - she simply placed the bottle of wine we ordered in front of my husband with little grace and made no attempt to pour it for tasting, which I would have expected in a restaurant of this calibre. The restaurant was quite cold, with no atmosphere whatsoever - no piped music even. The lounge area was also cold. It's such a shame as the decor in these areas was lovely, but let down by what's been described above. The hotel is on a main road and there was lots of noise outside in the early of the hours of the morning which disrupted our sleep. Also guests coming in in the early hours being very noisy. Breakfast was very good with a hot help yourself buffet.

Good Points: The accommodation was fairly clean and all facilities worked as they should. The staff were reasonably helpful with our enquiries, although there was not a lot of information available with regards to tours, local attractions etc...
Bad Points: The room we were allocated had obviously not been serviced in at least a few days, the towels smelled musty and there was dust on the kettle and cups provided. Also we asked for the shampoo in our room to be refilled/replaced and this was not done. The wall paper in the room was peeling from the wall in several places and the bed spreads were worn and again smelled musty. The locks on the hotel doors were not satisfactory given that they had notices warning of security risks! Also, I was not asked once for identification, nor for the key card proving we were guests - any member of the public could have asked for our room number and been given the key! Over all the things they need to improve on are security and maintenance.
Further Comments: I feel the location of the hotel was misrepresented on the website and the front entrance was difficult to find! However, the staff were friendly and the hotel was conveniently close to the city centre. Overall it was adequate enough for our needs.
