Jarvis Piccadilly Hotel near Manchester: Manchester Hotels

Good Points: The staff were friendly, the food was pretty good, the location is very central
Bad Points: Rooms were tiny, the toilets were a disgrace, service was very slow, check in was terrible
Further Comments: The hotel is being refurbished I was not informed of this, the site said it had a poor it did not, the toilets (due to refurbishment) were an absolute disgrace. Staff generally friendly but check in was unnecessarily complicated & rude Worst hotel I have been in for years and I travel with work and stay in mid to budget level hotels all over Europe, Ireland & the UK (approx 70 nights a year)

Good Points: Good service from staff room clean very hot water bed comfortable
Bad Points: only one large towel in room for two guests room not very big , no mini bar
Further Comments: Hotel fine for weekend break cental to theatres and shops, staff helpful, room a bit basic

Good Points: The central location to the city center and Canal street. The cleanliness of the room and the breakfast was good value for money.
Bad Points: The current upgrading of the hotel sometimes caused interruptions with the stay.

Further Comments: Staff efficient but felt very anonymous - however, only staying one night so not particularly a problem. Lift facilities insufficient - had some long waits. Food and restaurant facilities excellent. Would stay again for a short stay.

Good Points: Hotel will be lovely when work is complete. Room was very pleasent and cosy.
Bad Points: Bathroom in hotel although clean was shabby looking compared to nice bedroom. was surprized that bar/resturant didnt have toilets, i had to go upstairs which wasnt a big problem, but it was kind of spooky.

Good Points: centrally located, friendly staff
Bad Points: WLAN didn't work properly, loud (renovation), TV switched off sometimes automatically, heater did not work

Further Comments: Hotel was being refurbished but did not cause too much inconvenience. Our room was a newly refurbished one and was excellent, very clean and modern. Bed was very comfortable. Only problem was trying to get onto the hotel carpark and the ￃﾂￂﾣ7+ charge for doing so.

Good Points: the room was nice and spacious. well decorated and was quite stylish.
Bad Points: we were un able to open the windows, there was some rope dangling which kept tapping the window.
Further Comments: The hotel was very hard to find, we managed to get the street easily enough. but at ground level there was no sign saying Picadilly hotel, it was only by chance that we found the hotel. The restaunt and bar were closed. all your staff were polite and informative. and i would reccomend your hotel again. but only for somewhere to stay. not for fine dining and a well stocked bar.

Further Comments: Good value for money and very well located in Manchester. Security well organised. Breakfast was average with many things missing on the table which we could not choose. I would go back to this hotel anyway the room was very nice.

Bad Points: Poor service - asked for loo roll at 3pm in afternoon - did not materialise and asked again at in the morning.
Further Comments: Okay but service left a lot to be desired. Lifts were not in good order and if you took the stairs you ended up in with the workmen and all their tools and equipment.
