Further Comments: Very pleasant budget hotel - much more character that the travelodge for the same sort of price and the breakfast was great. Staff were very nice too.

Further Comments: Very thin walls - and arguing couple next door who argued all night! We had to pay an extra ￃﾂￂﾣ10 at check-in so we could stay in a room that didn't smell foul - and was still a box room.

Good Points: staff were helpful and friendly, and it was good value
Further Comments: staff were accommodating about our late arrival, we were able to leave our luggage in the room while we sorted out a hire car and did some last minute xmas shopping, breakfast was just right (not too much)

Good Points: Convenient to where we needed to be and the room was clean
Bad Points: No heating in bathroom - cold bathroom is not conducive to the best of facilities or a good memory of visit
Further Comments: The premises were clean and tidy with cheerful, helpful staff throughout our visit. Although the room and bathroom were small it was adequate for our needs. See above regarding the bathroom heating. The breakfast was very good and satisfactory service ensured a good leaving impression.

Good Points: Very little; I can say it was very clean though. All the staff bar one were very friendky, particularly the night porter who was lovely.
Further Comments: I would have liked to have known: That my card will be pre-authorised three days before arriving That we have to pay on arrival, not departure. That this hotel is horrible and I should have carried on looking for another one. The decor is old, and very worn. The shower leaked. The hot tap ran continuously, just under a sign that said water is precious. Every single floorboard creaked, which made coming home later than my roommate very difficult to do without seriously disturbing her. We were directly over the dancefloor; the floorboards shook because the bass was so loud. The bottle bank was directly outside our room, so we had the sound of breaking glass for a while. The beds were truly on the way out, one of them had pretty much collapsed in the middle. One particular staff was so rude on the phone he had ruined the stay before we had even arrived. It was such a shame that our accomodation should end up such an unfortunate part of our wonderful weekend.
