Good Points: If you want to club until early hours then this is the hotel for you. My boyfriend and I had to swop rooms because all we heard was the thud of music from the hotels bars.
Bad Points: We did not like much really. It was quite poor for the price.
Further Comments: Ideal hotel for younger clubbers. Disappointing rooms, they need updating or something. Nicer pillows would be good too. The lift didn't work.

Good Points: Excellent location and well maintained hotel. Excellent restaurant and bars attached to hotel.
Bad Points: The rooms on the top floor where we were located were very hot.

Bad Points: Beroom was a bit tired and drab, Car park was full with people juct there for the bar so very tight coming back at 10.00pm

Good Points: Excellent dining. Proximity to event we were visiting, cleanliness of the hotel, friendliness and efficiency of the staff.
Bad Points: The rooms are getting very jaded. The bathrooms particularly are very old-fashioned and very basic.
Further Comments: Having stayed at the Royal Exeter in previous years, we knew more or less what to expect. However, the newly refurbished dining room was a joy. The food was excellent and the staff efficient and friendly. (Spoil yourself and go for the chocolate brownie with vanilla cream!)Nothing was too much trouble. We will book again for next year, when hopefully, the rooms will have been refurbished.

Good Points: Lovely hotel - much better than some of the other, more expensive hotels I've used in the area. Very smart & trendy.

Further Comments: If you are going to see a show at the BIC then I recommend staying at the Royal Exeter Hotel. You are right outside the venue and almost directly in the town centre. You may be worried about noise at night but I didn't find this a problem. Friendly staff and an overall pleasent stay.
