| Good Points:
Location, was very quiet and clean |
| Bad Points:
Internal room I was allocated had no air con but to be fair, the reception changed me to a better room straight away. I did phone room service to request a pint glass at one point though, and was advised this would be subject to a ᅢツᅡᆪ5 charge. |
| Further Comments: Reception were quick to change my room without any problems
internal room with air con would have been fine but they happily
gave me a room with window |

Nice hotel, great location, lovely building. The staff was very helpful. |
| Bad Points:
One of the towels in the bathroom was dirty (looked like someone had wiped their make-up off) and the bedside tables had not been dusted/cleaned. |

| Good Points: Architecturally, the hotel is magnificent but sadly the decor needed a little refreshment. |
| Bad Points: Severla spects. The check-in and check-out process was much longer than at most hotels. We had a queue of 3 people with only one receptionist attending. The rooms had had their central lights removed and hence were quite dark. The lifts were inadequate for ahotel of its size. |
| Further Comments: A conveniently located hotel for the centre of Manchester that has known better days. If you like architecture, then the wrought iron staircases are worth a stay to see. Apart from that the hotel has little to recommend it. Overall it was adequate for the price. It is a shame really as the place could be made superb with a lick of paint and better staff and management.
Also being in the centre of the city, it can be noisy at nights. |
