Good Points: Good, clean accomodation and everything worked
Bad Points: The restaurant was closed, on a Friday night!
Further Comments: We found our overall stay very good, staff obliging and the location siutable for our needs (near the airport). It was a let down that the reaurant was closed on the weekend, given that the only local choice seemd to be Pizza Hut

Good Points: Just fantastic
Further Comments: This is a great hotel to stay in. They have a huge selection of single malts for a hotel and the gym is very good as well. You get about 24 channels on the TV which, again, for a hotel is superb.

Good Points: I liked the fact that the room was spacious and everything was clean and accessable. The bed was huge and so comfortable - I wanted to take it home with me!
Bad Points: The only negative thing I would say about this hotel is that the shower in our room was poor and made the whole experience of washing a bad one. I alos thought the location was a little unpleasent sandwiched between Currys and PC World!
Further Comments: I thought the Copthorne Hotel was a lovely place to stay. The decoration was bright and welocoming and all the staff were helpful. The food was of a good standard and the piano player added a touch of class to the restaurant. The room was very good. It was a large size and had everything you needed even an iron! I think this is good value for money and a wise choice for couples and families alike.

Good Points: The room was really nice - very comfy bed and a TV with about 24 channels as well.

Good Points: Spacious, well furnished, everything one could want to hand.
Further Comments: Lovely hotel in delightful grounds. Well furnished. Excellent food in pleasant dining room with lake view. The deck area was an added bonus to sit, have a drink and watch the wildlife. All the staff were pleasant, efficient and helpful. Plenty of parking within the grounds. A very enjoyable stay - will repeat it in the future.

Bad Points: Way too hot !!! Not enough ventilation, like a sauna
Further Comments: I would stay again but would ask when booking that a fan be placed inside the room well in advance of arriving

Bad Points: The water temp control on the bath/shower was extremely difficult to turn.

Good Points: Far enough away from city centre but not too far.
Further Comments: Was pleased that the hotel arranged transport to get to millennium stadium.As we were there for the speedway this saved money and time. Due to speedway,hotel was very busy saturday afternoon.Unfortunately,there was not enough staff to cope with demand and this caused delays in being served.I was told at one point that staff would come to our table to take our order,however due to only two people serving,more people came into the bar unaware of table service so that didn't help. One of girls serving had to not only serve customers,she was also settling bills and making sure people were getting the right meals. She did a good job and i told her so,that did only leave one serving! For speedway next year have some more bar staff! Thanks

Further Comments: if in connessier room - use special lounge - free cereal,milk , coffee etc, but get there early.

Good Points: Alomst everything....the room was was wonderful with a great view of the lake.
Further Comments: I found this an excellent value hotel and so posh! Only one word of warning.....for breakfast, pop over the road to MacDonalds, damn sight cheaper than the hotel (I had heeded previous warnings and did that this!)

Further Comments: It is a little way outside of Cardiff and the Taxi was nearly ￂﾣ15.00 each way to the City Centre

Good Points: Quality, price, leisure facilities, convenient for bus stops, car parking, shuttle bus service provided to Speedway
Bad Points: Only minor issue that pool closed Sunday morning for aquaerobics class, would like to have known in advance

Good Points: Nice, clean, spacious room. Excellent breakfast (although very pricey at ￂﾣ15 per head)
Bad Points: The TV didn't work in my room, but apart from that, no complaints.
Further Comments: This was my first time at the Copthorne in Cardiff, although I have stayed in other Copthorne Hotels. I only booked this because the hotel in Cardiff I usually use for this event was full. Next year I will make the Copthorne my first choice as it is better in every way than the Holland House which was my former first choice.

Further Comments: Booking very easy, staff helpful and pleasant, rooms good - ￂﾣ10 cab from train station. Breakfast a little average, but helpfully made available very early on request.
